    Get a Bartlein from Bullets.com or Grizzly. 1:8 or 1:8.5 twist will work great with anything the 260 will shoot.

    Pat my BTO is 1.978" using a Sinclair comparator. OAL is about 2.795". So your OAL is about 2.920ish"? The FB on the GAP reamer is 0.199" mine is 0.182" I too am a fan of nice easy pressure. 41.7 H4350 at 3080 out of a 26".

    I put together a 7SAUM on a Long Action for a buddy on a 24" fluted #3 Bartlien with a Manner EH1 stock. Using Berger 180 VLD's and H4831sc we are getting 2975fps using 62.5 grains, Nosler brass, CCI BR2. Rigged out it is 10.5# with optics.

    If it were a competition rifle where you were trying to get every advantage possible I'd go 26". But for 500 and in especially if you want to hunt with it I'd go 22".

    Order a 6.5mm one of these. They come with a shim kit for timing and they work GREAT. Go look at the thread from the PRS equipment. There is a reason why this brake is used most. Recoil Reduction / Muzzle Brakes
