    The same caliber and cartridge you shoot in competition. Use the money you would spend on a barrel blank, gunsmithing, dies, ammo / components for the trainer caliber on ammo for the match gun.

    Another vote for the Surgeon XL. I have a Surgeon built rifle and it shoots the 215 Bergers EXTREMELY well. It's one if the most accurate rifles / barrels I've ever owned. Running them at 3045fps.
