Hand Loading for Precision Rifle (Pic Heavy)

If it is the Forster Co-ax it does not use shell holders. The only way for you to adjust the amount your die will bump the shoulder would be to screw it in or further down for more shoulder bump and to loosen it or unscrew it for less shoulder bump. Obviously anyone else using any press can do...

Hand Loading for Precision Rifle (Pic Heavy)

It will get longer. That is because you are making the OD of the case smaller, which stretches the case longer, but your case has not contacted the shoulder in the die yet. Since you have tried all the shell holders, loosen your lock ring on your die, screw the die in another 3/8 of a turn and...

    Surgeon 591 Action

I say just use it and it will wear in. All my new rifles are no where near my worn in one's. After about a barrel or a trip to a dusty or abrasive match like Oklahoma New Mexico or sandy Florida they lap themselves in nicely.

Action options for 300blk bolt gun?

So a fast twist 308 would shoot subs at rhe exact same speed as a 300BLK. Supersonic it would thrash a 300 BLK. I get 300 BLK in an AR, but for a bolt, go 308.

APA Lil B*stard Gen I or II for New Barrel?

I second that the Area 419 is better than APA. I shot APA for several thousand rounds and swapped to 419 and I won't go back.

308 or 300wm for PRS competitions

300 WM will yield better ballistics but will push you around too much with the added recoil. Limiting your ability to spot impacts as well as probably causing a flinch to develop. With your R700 in 308 it is likely a 1:12 twist and you will be limited on how heavy of a projectile it can...

    Magnum caliber build

I have not burned a 300NM barrel out nor will I likely ever so anything I'd post would just be hear say.

    Magnum caliber build

Honestly any of those would work. However, none of them should really be considered unless you are going to shoot 1200 plus. Energy and wind drift are where they really shine. I wouldn't do anything until you shot your 6.5x47 for a bit as it will be a WORLD of difference compared to your .308...

Hand Loading for Precision Rifle (Pic Heavy)

This is what I do and I have several rifles in multiple calibers that all shoot single digit SD and usually mid-teen ES or lower. All my rifles are 1/2 MOA or better and usually shoot 5 round groups in the high 0.3XX" center to center from a bipod and rear bag with me on the gun. Not a 30# bench...

I would trust the rocket scientist. And there are benefits to bushing dies.

    Advice on 7-300 win mag

Get 300 Win Mag Redding FL Type S dies. Put a 7mm bushing in it and that will neck it down. You may need to get a 7mm seater stem to change out in the seater die and you would be GTG. Powder would be H1000, Retumbo or RL33 would be good places to start. Use the 8 twist if you want to shoot the...

    300 norma mag

I use a 0.336 bushing with Redding FL Type S die. I measured a few loaded rounds and they were all. 0.338 or 0.3375. I Full length size and go. Ridiculous accuracy.

    .260 Remington

1:8 will work fine. 7.5 will as well. However, to fit in a mag with the 140 you will have to seat them into the case taking up powder column space and will lose some velocity. If you want to shoot a 140 and don't reload the 6.5 Creedmoor is the answer. If you DO reload 6.5x47 works REALLY well...

    Need Freebore Advice (6.5x47L)

About a .135FB works fine for 140's too. I know you want to run factory 130 ammo and but no matter the chamber specs, no one can tell you bases solely on FB if the ammo will shoot or not in your rifle. It will be hit or miss if the ammo works well in each specific rifle.

    Muzzle Break?

I've shot both, alot, and I like the 419 better. I just put a Sidewinder on a 308 and it made a world of difference. I can spot impacts at 325 with ease where without a break it was very challenging.

    Atlas bipod use

How about you take the legs off the thing, put them straight down like it is intended and put forward pressure on the rear of the stock to load the bipod and drive the rifle. With the legs forward and you pushing forward you are essentially raising the rifle up then the recoil makes the rifle...
