Opinions on the CZ 600 ST2 Range from owners and people who have shot it please.

I don't have experience with the CZ 600 directly, but do have experience with other CZ bolt guns. There isn't much aftermarket support for the platform, but I would ask if it is necessary if you are planning to shoot the rifle in stock configuration. That being said I have always had good luck...

Night Vision US-Made Thermal Clip-on IN STOCK?

Also in a fashion that is typically the opposite of what is normally experienced in the firearms industry, the wait times for PoT stuff from SOK have proven to be shorter than first quoted...

Night Vision US-Made Thermal Clip-on IN STOCK?

+3 on SOK... The go to guys for PoT stuff. However gentlemen who really seek to empty their wallet for the champagne of thermal clipons skip the Voodoo S and go straight to the Voodoo MX with the integrated 1550 nm LRF and AB package (OK maybe a HISS would be more extravagant but we are...

Night Vision US-Made Thermal Clip-on IN STOCK?

Get a Voodoo S you won't be sorry... If you really want to drop some coin on top of that get twin SkeetIRX's on a Wilcox bridge... You will begin to see the world in thermal and navigation with them is as easy as NVG's

    LMT .308 MWS

I have a SSA-E and it is a good trigger for this application. There is a risk for a short-travel single stage trigger like the SD3G/S3G (depending on technique and recoil impulse) to result in accidental doubles or bump firing.

    Scope rail bedding 'WTF?'

Another option would be to use another compound for bedding that is actually bedding compound. Loctite 660 is exactly that and is designed for bedding loose or worn metal parts in rotating assemblies. It is also removable with the appropriate (albeit rare) solvent. I have used it with good success.

Night Vision Thermal Clip on with helmet capability

If you can stretch your budget a touch over $5k another option is a separate handheld spotter and dedicated thermal weapon sight. This avoid collimation issues and having to switch on the fly. If you aren't going to spend $$$ on a really high grade clip on, the standalone TWS generally will...

    Rebarrel Thoughts and Opinions

I think the issue there is the barrel diameter and the weird nut it necessitates. It looks like the barrel is a much larger diameter than the thread going into the action. This is different than most barrels that utilize a barrel nut, where the threaded tenon is the largest diameter of the...

    Primer Pocket Crimp Removal Tools

Whether or not this deformation is actually an issue depends on exact what happens to the primer pocket and case head with a cutter vs swage. The question I would ask about this is what case head deformation happened with the original crimping process? I don't have tools of adequate accuracy...

Need help setting up 300 Blk

In theory an adjustable gas block introduces an additional point of failure. A properly gassed 300 BLK shouldn't need one to run reliably with subs or supers... I have a 10.5" and 16" Noveske with pistol gas and they come with a pinned non adjust block. They run 100% with every combination from...

    Primer Pocket Crimp Removal Tools

Why don't you want to swage? The RCBS pocket swaging die works very well and is quite quick. As a byproduct it seems to work harden the case head which in theory should make primer pockets last longer. I have used the reamers but have experienced more variability in the pockets in the final...

    22 creedmoor

I recently screwed on a varmint contour 24" Shilen 7.5 twist ratchet rifled barrel. I will report back on how it works with the Hornady bullets... I am planning to primarily shoot the 80 ELDx which I am hoping will also avoid blow up issues due to its thicker jacket. The initial loads will be...

    Budget 308 build

There are a lot of potential questions here... What face does the barrel for a HMR have compared to a Solus bolt? Are you sure they are actually the same tenon thread for a Solus vs HMR? IE a Solus takes a Savage small shank which is something like a 1.062x20 vs a Rem 700 (which I think the...

Night Vision New Armasight Units (Sidekick and Jockey 640s)

+100 agree with this advice. A 1x scanner works well for walking and short range detection, but for open country scanning nothing beats a 35 mm unit. I have experience using a friend's Sidekick as well as SkeetIRx, in addition to various 24 and 35 mm units, for scanning purposes. We all agreed...

Best practice for installing a barrel nut pre-fit on a SA Solus?

I am not sure a barrel vice is required for a barrel nut install. You do need a action wrench and wrench for the nut though. Screw the barrel down on a go gauge, tighten the nut, check go and no-go gauge, and good to go.

Night Vision Eotech clipir mk2 elr vs VoodooM

The Voodoo M will have better sensitivity, definition, and PID, but if you are in open areas and without alot of background thermal signature the ELR does provide very good pixel density and will still likely work just fine for you. I also personally think the BAE cores are superior and the...

Recs for 8 yr old first hunting rifle????.

Another crazy thought for adapting a rifle for a recoil sensitive shooter who is smaller would be reduced recoil loads. The Hornady ones work great, and still are quite accurate and have good terminal effects. I have worked some of these up for 308 with a 125 SST and 110 Tac-Tx over either...

Trijicon Credo HX 1-8 on SCAR 17

I have one and I think it is a good optic, although not truly a "do-all" LPVO, meaning it is more oriented to a DMR type usage. The glass is quite good, and the image is very bright even at 8x. I also found the eye box to be large and forgiving even at 8x. The reticle is still useful at 1x but...

    Remington 700 prefit?

Don't rebarrel just because. Shoot it and see if the accuracy is satisfactory and spend your money on ammo. Trying a cheap rebarrel can be the same crap shoot as a factory barrel. I have no experience with Arken prefits. The barrel nut Remage barrels work fine. The head spacing process is quite...
