    Tac Ops Rifles

Got it. Makes sense. I remember being drawn to these rifles back in maybe the 2008 time frame. I was just out of college and for some reason became interested in “sniper rifles”. Stumbled across the sniper central website which had a review on Tac Ops rifles. I loved the way they looked but...

    Tac Ops Rifles

Sorry if this is a dumb question but can you send mike a R700 action for him to build off of or do you just order one of his complete rifles? the reason I’m asking is I have a factory 700 action that holds some sentimental value and I want to do something special with it. thanks.

Article on affordable precision rifles: RPR missing??

The RPR has a 92 page sticky on this forum. Right next to the Tikka T3 and AI. Not comparing the 3 just saying the RPR still seems to be very much in favor. I'm a fan of mine. When I'm looking for input on where precision rifles stack up, I come to this site. Not gundigest.

Help me design a LR 22 Field course - please.

@reubenski , Thank you for the write up! I ordered the targets you mentioned off amazon. Hopefully this weekend I can knock out some rebar stands. Thanks for the help guys. I think this course should come together nicely.

Help me design a LR 22 Field course - please.

Good call on the wind flags. I think I’ll need the targets to swing a little to verify a hit on a shot up target. definitely going to hide some of these guys in the tree line.

Help me design a LR 22 Field course - please.

Hey guys, I’m trying to put together a long range 22 field type course on some family property. The distances will be about 100 yds to 300 yards and include some high angle stuff. Target backdrops will be in fairly dense vegetation so not likely misses will be able to be spotted regularly...

    Ruger Precision Rimfire

Took out the RPRr to try different ammo. Also had recently installed a Timney trigger. On about every tenth round or so, I’d get a dead trigger. I’d have to lift the bolt handle and close it again to re-set it. Anyone had similar experiences? Any thoughts on how to fix it? Seemed to happen...

    RT90C Tripod Incoming...Need a Head/Base

My RT-90c should be here next week. I plan on going with the anvil 30 as well. check out the adapter plate machined by hide member midwestoffroad. Mine arrived yesterday. Very nice.

New, trouble deciding on first long range setup

The MPA grip alone was a huge improvement for me with the factory trigger. When I combined it with the Timney trigger i was sold. Bought the same grip and triggers for my 223 RPR and RPR rimfire. That combo both made me a fan of 2 stage triggers and that grip. Thats why when I was building a...

    New PRS rifle

If I were the type that would rather buy than build and preferred stocks over chassis, I’d look real hard towards GA Precision’s production class rifle they released. I think its called the PPR. $2,500

New, trouble deciding on first long range setup

Can’t comment on the Tikka option as I’ve never owned one. I have to say I’m a big fan of the RPR. Picked up my 6.5CM a few years ago. Started to tinker with it almost immediately. - Polished the bolt body to get rid of the “zipper” feeling when cycling. Now its buttery - Added MPA EVG grip...

Recommend a ball head for Pig 0311g

Hey guys, I’m currently using a Pig 0311g tripod with a pig saddle clamp on top. I’m looking to move over to a ball head or leveling base that is arca/rrs dovetail equipped. Tripod will be used to support rifles and optics. My shopping around has led me to considering the Desmond DLOW-55...

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

I’ve never had a set of the Tenebraex covers but I measured the clearance from the bottom of the objective bell to the top of the pic rail at 0.270”. Hope that helps.

20” 308 AX in Dark Earth (best color lets be honest). Next barrel will be a 6.5CM or 6CM. Can’t decide. You guys sure did cost me some $$. Thank you to the Hide and Mile High Shooting. 👍

Vudoo V22 action vs Zermatt Arms RIMX

Which action would you choose for a training rifle build when trying to replicate a competition gun based around an Impact 737r? As far as I can tell they are both 90 degree bolt throws. It seems the Vudoo’s bolt handle is straighter more like the Impact and the RimX is angled slightly...

Vortex is back with reticled eye piece

I don’t know why this hasn’t been done in the reasonable price range yet. Maybe because it doesn’t really cross over into the hunting world. I’d imagine hunters are more interested in an unobstructed view for glassing mountain sides all day. Oh and Vortex, make it talk to my Kestrel 4dof...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor or Viper PST?

For 6.5 CM ranges/capabilities, I’d get by with the PST 2 while saving up for the Razor. I shoot both and am happy with them for what they are and what they offer. I always appreciate getting behind the Razor after shooting the PST 2 for a while. PST 2 lives on the 223, Razor on the 6BRA.
