Suppressors It has begun. Thunder Beast 50 prototype

@Zak Smith How is the muzzle brake end cap timed? When will the muzzle brake end cap trickle down to the smaller suppressors in your lineup? :)

    Accuracy International AXSA general question

The AT, AX308, and AT-X actions are all the same, and are interchangeable. Any differences between the 3 in the past 8 years or so come down pretty much to the chassis. If you love the look/feel of the AX, then buy one whenever you're ready. Used on the PX will likely be cheaper than new...

    AI AT in different chassis?

This is also the round-bottom AE, and it's turned into a single shot.

    AI AT in different chassis?

Never, it's designed for military use and now sort-of PRS focused. The answer is lift weights if you want to carry an AI on a backcountry hunt.

    AI AT in different chassis?

I think at some point I had some dimensions or a rough CAD model in hand because someone wanted to see if the Badger would fit in the AO chassis. I think the big issue is the Badger still uses a standard R700 trigger interface, and only has 1 front and 1 rear action screw, even though it has 2...

    AI AT in different chassis?

This is a very expensive proposition if designing a chassis from the ground up, ask me how I know 😂 If the goal is to have an existing stock be fitted for an AI action, the biggest challenge will be a custom bottom metal due to the 4 action screws and the way the trigger pack bolts to the...

AXSA left hand models in the wild?

I have two (initially had a LH AT before either of these), the green one might be offloaded soon, just haven’t been shooting enough to warrant keeping two of them.

It's all good! I have looked into it in the past when people asked me to work on an aftermarket chassis for the AXMC. Unfortunately I don't think there is/was a market to support the cost and effort associated with that endeavor, and the MC/ASR is mainly a prone gun anyway so designing a new...

That's a 1.25" wide action in an AX chassis, only takes the single stack mags. @CoriolisEffect is talking about the double-stack wide AXMC chassis in an AW chassis, basically the opposite of the Maverick.

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

AT, AW, and AWM all have the 1.25" wide action. AXMC action is a lot wider and designed around the magnum double stack magazine, and will not work in the AWM chassis. Your only option would be to de-bond the AX buttstock and install an AT folder buttstock with the thumbhole skins. Someone on...

    AI AX308 Grip mods?

The GTAC uses a machined trigger guard and a modified set of AI plastic grip panels. The Vision grip is a fully machined AL7075 clamshell design, fully integrated trigger guard and AR grip tang, with an optional adjustable thumb rest on either (or both) sides of the panels.

    Introducing the AI Obsession Chassis

I’ve found the easiest way to remove the Devcon is with a heat gun, or to heat the whole chassis in an oven set to 250F. That’s how I de-bond the action from the chassis, I just throw it in my oven for an hour at 250F and the action peels right off. I gave it more than a tap with the mallet...

AI AT fixed to AX folder. Conversion Instructions and pictures

It’s certainly not a waste of time if you want the functionality, adjustability, or looks of the AX buttstock. The bigger question to me is if it’s worth the $1000 to do it

    Introducing the AI Obsession Chassis

Regardless of whether or not you bond it, the brass washers are needed. They define the height of the action relative to the magazine. If you don’t use the washers the magazine will sit 0.030” too high relative to the bolt face. I tell people if they think they don’t want to bond it, it’s free...

You could drill a hole in the chassis, or buy a folding AT buttstock from someone who upgraded to the AX buttstock.

The fixed chassis is missing the hole that’s in the folding chassis used for the retaining feature.
