    NRL22/PRS22 chassis/stock recommendations for B14R

PRS22 needs to start adding an off-hand shooting stage to matches going forward or its going to keep getting more and more ridiculous. 20+ lb 22LRs is pretty crazy for a sport that purports to resemble real life shooting.

    Leupold MARK 5HD 2-10x30

Really? At what is likely to amount to twice the weight? I think I speak for most of those hunters when I say that we just want up to a 30mm tube, mag up to 12x, and sensible reticles. Leupold should have the modern hunting riflescope market nailed and they don't. They either offer overbuilt...

Rifle Scopes NF SHV 4-14x50 FFP elevation correction

I don't think that is entirely right. After you set the SHV to your designated zero you should be able to loosen the screws, rotate it to 0 while pressing down on the top cap, and lock down the screws. If you get it right then you shouldn't be able to rotate past 0 at the bottom end. If you...

Suppressed .22 and real effects on accuracy?

I almost exclusively shoot a T1X suppressed. I shoot CCI SV mostly. Only time things get crummy is when shooting the Thunderbolt type crap, which generally defeats the point of suppressed anyway, since it's supersonic. I haven't noticed much of a change in accuracy. I prefer to not need to wear...

    Ammo Suggestions ( .223 )

500? 69 or 77 FGGM should work awesome, grab whatever is cheaper. I actually shoot a ton of bulk 55 grain FMJ out to 400. Try it before you start spending $1.50 a round.

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Apologies if this has been asked/answered already, but in terms of the conical breech for the CDG, does that only matter for the smaller caliber boltheads (308 and under if I understand right) if you are running AW mags? So if you are going to run AICS, or another center feed mag, could you use...

    Your PVA prefit experience

Just placed an order for my first 6.5 PRC, meaning I've ordered four barrels from them. Planning to hunt with it so hopefully 20" Brux 4# was the right call. Had to go with Savage threads because Nuke pre-fit wasn't an option on the Cinco De Mayos. My .308 and .223 PVAs hammer.

Dedicated rifle to shoot CCI quiets (710fps) CZ457 American or Varmint MTR?

Quiets really shine if you want to shoot suppressed, indoors, or out of pistols, like a TC Contender. Otherwise, I find that CCI Standard Velocity is cheaper and performs way better.

Feedback Avoid Fraud With This Feature

Avoiding WTB Fraud - A Primer Folks throughout India and West Africa have figured out that U.S. gun buyers are prone to trying to jump on good deals quickly and way too trusting. Firearm transactions also tend to be higher in monetary value - $500+, so they can represent a worthwhile time...

    Lightest accurate bolt action?

I think there aren't a ton of options at good price points. T1X is heavy, and hard to find with a 16" barrel. Bergara BMR seems like a good option, but limited stock support so far. Steryr Zephyr seems to have good features, but limited versions out there in the wild right now to get a sense for...

Practicing for long range - options when you are capped at 200 yards??

I have a rimfire range. I have targets out to about 180 yards, just because of the landscape. I'm shooting CCI SV, out of a Tikka T1X and I'm at about 8 mils in elevation for the back targets, assuming a 25 yard zero. I have a centerfire range out to 400, but I don't bother shooting rimfire out...

    Christensen Modern Precision Rifle

Brownells was just blowing out the MPR Chassis for around $800, so I bought one, haven't been wanting to try a folding stock. Light, good ergos, kind of crappy adjustments, but decent for a hunting rifle. Lots of sharp edges unexpected places, and their included pic rail was a razor blade. Wish...

What would your Dream bench gun be ?

5-7 k for rifle or 5-7 k for everything? You'll get two wildly different answers. At that price range, I'd want the assurance that what I was buying had decent resale value. So Barrett or AI would have utility on and off the bench, with an easy swap of barrel or caliber to keep the rifle...

Well I'm waiting for the hunter version. Hope they do a similar intro price.

Any estimates on weight of the hunter version, or info on if it will be priced the same?

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Reminds me of the Nuke 1.0 preorder. Got one of those, very happy with it, expect to have the same thing happen here. Ted, Kudos to you for putting all the great info here in the thread. Kick PVA in the rear to get them to offer some prefits to coincide with your launch.

    2022- Best .22 LR Suppressor?

I don't think there really is a best. I own a few, and my next may be a Mask or TBAC. There are a ton of great options now, in the sub $400 range. A lot can depend on whether you are running mostly on a pistol, because there, primary considerations are weight, FRP, and overall DB reduction. On a...

    Sterk bolt and t1x

Anyone have any luck getting one of these here in the US? Feels like they have been OOS everywhere for the past year.

Who makes a good .223 Bolt gun ?

I bought a PVA .223 barrel for my ARC Nucleus. I shoot it more than any other caliber currently. Honestly, I mostly shoot .55 grain bulk stuff out to 400 or so. Ammo is still a challenge here so its nice to be able to practice on the (relative) cheap.
