Is the other PA flip mount without the button that's out of stock...
Well, the PA 3x magnifier came in this PM. It works great. Just had to back the magnifier diopter just about all the way out like the video said. The 1x micro prism reticle became large and easy to see magnified. It was hard for me to see without the magnifier. It added about 10 ounces...
I asked DLO about this and he said the PA 1x works with the 3x magnifier and I think he uses this setup on one of his guns. I'm going to give it a try.
Another option for those with astigmatism is a holographic and magnifier. I just looked through a Vortex UH-1 and 6x magnifier and it looked...
AA Optic has refurbished Vortex 3-18x SEs for $500. With the Vortex warranty refurbished shouldn't be a big deal. Looks like only MOA versions left. Should be free shipping.

I spent a lot of time comparing my G3s and S8. The S8 has a bit better center resolution and I like the higher magnification but overall the G3 is probably a bit better scope and ILya (DLO) confirms this. I'm happy with both though.
I think there are a few refurbished Gen 3s left for $2100 with free shipping and no tax probably depending on the state. And no long wait.

No, it's just their regular barrel I got from them when they had one of their 20% off sales. That barrel was amazing. I'm on a second 6 BR barrel from them and it's not quite as accurate and won't shoot in the .0s as often. I have a third barrel on the shelf which I'm going to test out soon.
Seems like the current thinking is that the optic doesn't have to be very close to the barrel and it's good to be able to keep your head more vertical behind the optic so I would think the 1.26.
Gen 3 with 1.26 rings:
BTW, you can get refurbished Vortex rings for $80...
I posted a link earlier but refurbished G3's for $2100 at AA Optic and a bunch of other Vortex stuff. They still have a few available. Free shipping an no tax probably depending on the state.
ILya has looked at this scope at least initially. He seems to like the turrets a lot but he still said that the Gen3 Razor is the one to beat and is the best bang for the buck in the sub $3K range in this scope category.
