Rifle Scopes Leupold Deltapoint for ruger 22/45

Thanks, I was thinking along the same lines of being able to use the tip for precision work and whole dot for better speed. I'll mostly be using this for steel and other targets while working on speed. I just wasnt sure how clear the tip of the 7.5 is for closer precision work. Alan

Rifle Scopes Leupold Deltapoint for ruger 22/45

Anyone have a Leupold Deltapoint they're using? I'm considering one for a 22/45 threaded barrel for some suppressed fast action fun. I'm just interested in clarity, durability, and can't make up my mind for the 3.5 or 7.5 MOA reticle! Need some guidance. It will only be used on the .22...

    Fine tuning my AR

Geissele SSA-E triggers are great for precision work. Other than that, I'd see what kind of groups you get out of it since you have a red dot scope on it now. Scope it and run it out to 500 and see what your groups are like. Practice a lot and good ammo is what you'll need for longer range...

Berger 77 OTM tactical results in MK12 Mod1

Well I went out this morning and tried the 77 bergers vs. the 77 Lapua scenars. Bergers at 24.2 varget and Lapuas at 24.0 and 24.2 varget. Both loads shot really well but I think the Scenars may hold a slight edge. At 500 yards, the Scenar loads held sub 2" vertical. I was shooting 6-7...

Berger 77 OTM tactical results in MK12 Mod1

With the CLE chamber, I seem to get a little better groups at around 2.245 average- but yea, magazine length. I just loaded up some more at 24.2 and some Lapua Scenars 77 gr at 24.0 and 24.2. Going out at daylight tomorrow morning to test them again then pick the best one. So far, nothing is...

Berger 77 OTM tactical results in MK12 Mod1

Yea I think I'm gonna just use them. I have a good 82 single feed load worked up but the 77's loaded to mag length seem to be hammers so far even at 800 yards in some wind too. I'll see how the Scenars compare tomorrow but I'm probable done with load work! :)

Berger 77 OTM tactical results in MK12 Mod1

Anyone try the berger 77 OTM tactical bullets in their AR type rifles? I got some the other day and loaded 7 rounds at 23.9 varget and the other at 24.2 varget in Lapua brass with Federal 205 primers. Shot the 23.9 at 100 and it appeared to be a tight group so I figured I'd just shoot the...

I have three suppressors at my FFL and went to try out two of them today. Just got my MK18 stamp Saturday and figured I'd try the Surefire SOCOM on it today. Took my MK12 Mod1 to try on the OPS Model 12 too. I need to figure out what scope I want on the MK12 yet...leupy or NF. KAC lower...

    calipers

I'm looking for a good caliper for reloading that is good quality and decent priced. Don't want a cheap one as I've had a few of those and they don't seem to last. Anyone recommend a good one for mid price level. 80-100.00 or so would be fine Alan

    Suppressors Form 4 wait time

I called to check on my Form 1 SBR application this morning and it was approved today. I went individual route and believe I mailed it out mid April last year. Long wait, but it will be worth it when paperwork arrives in mail!

Gunsmithing alternative to trustrip for prepping barrel

Thanks, maybe I'll try that. I'm only doing one barrel and just want to try it myself. It's on an AR and honestly there's only maybe 4.5" of barrel exposed from under handguard. I just wanted to make sure I prep it ok and the spray it.

Did remington ever make 5r milspec with a 26" barrel

Thanks for the replies. I did some searches earlier and came up with the same - 24" for a 308. But if it was a custom order, I guess then anything could be possible. I asked him about the original box, and it didn't come with the rifle. I'll have to go take a look at it next week and see...

Did remington ever make 5r milspec with a 26" barrel

My buddy bought a used rifle off gunbroker that was advertised as a rem700 5r milspec 26" barrel. He can't find anything on whether or not Remington ever produced the 5r with a 26" barrel. I always thought they were 24". I guess the guy he bought it from said that it was a custom order from...
