New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Exactly this. If you really wanted to do this test, you would need to set your magnification by measuring a known sized target with the reticle on each optic.
A halfway skilled guy could throw that site together in 30 mins. If you find a site that has something that nobody else has or has had for months, it’s prob a scam. If they only take Zelle, it’s 100% a scam.
Lol I thought I was the only one that did this. Screw a note with a screen name. I want you to set the thing on top of a Tupperware bowl and snap a selfie of you chugging a spindrift next to it. That shit is a lot harder to fake than a note with a screen name.
The 338 with a good brake won’t be bad at all recoil-wise, just try to set up with nothing on either side of you so you don’t reflect concussion from the brake. You’ll learn a flinch really quickly like that if you don’t already have one. I think if you already have a 338 for the DT you’re...
Don’t start with a 300WM. If you really want to train, start with 308/6.5 and NO brake(assuming you’re taking prone training). Recoil is the ultimate trainer. You can shoot good groups with bad form but you’ll never control real recoil with bad form. Once you can manage 100% of that recoil go to...
Yea the missing data in between the .4 increments makes it hard to really read it with confidence but if you call 38.2 and 39.4 scatter nodes, the 1.5% lines up pretty well with the two better groups. The scatter node has always held pretty true in my tests. A 2750ish speed is usually where my...
I’ll reply here as I didn’t realize we were in someone else’s thread over there. Do you have pictures of the entire test? That would be the only way for anyone to know if either charge is preferable. I look at tests with the thought that a .5 group and a .3 group are essentially the same. The...
Eat what humans are supposed to eat(this is nearly impossible unless you make it a full time job to sift through blatant marketing of poison designed as health food). Exercise. Go outside. Don’t let “doctors” put you on chemical concoctions designed to manage problems caused by not doing these...
That one makes more sense, especially if it was shot RR. I think you’re making too big of a jump between charges. I’d be going in .2gr increments. With that big of a jump in a creedmoor case you’re missing data on the in between charges so the target is going to be harder to read.
If it were...
Something isn’t right with that target. To believe an OCW test (to be confident the shooter/something else didn’t induce a bunch of dispersion) I want to see a clear poi shift between charge weights. That target is very random. How many groups did you shoot? Did you shoot them round robin?
I used to find the lands by seating a dummy round a little at the time, but I realized it doesn’t really matter to me exactly where they are. I don’t load into the lands and all that matters to me is finding a cartdridge length that shoots well. If that length turns out to be 2.25, it makes no...
That is 🔥. And while I agree that you can’t reason with full scale leftists….at all, this is written for people who are clueless to what kind of absurd and demented stuff is being pushed as normal. These people usually just do whatever the leftists say because that’s the path of least...
Clean it for sure. And you might need to really clean it. Years ago we had a rifle that shot great and then started throwing flyers. I cleaned it and it still wasn’t right. The smith said to clean until there was no copper visible at the muzzle(before the days of cheap borescopes) It took a long...
We’ve got a T6 and an S3 and the T6 easily wins that contest IMO. The T6 is ridic good. That’s not to say I don’t like the S3. I do like it. But to me the T6 is a level up.
