Camping at matches
Def an option just email the MD Ive camped in cars, garages, couches, tents, campers etc etc. Taken an RV couple times but not worth it unless couple friends helping with fuel, esp with current prices. Way cheaper to fly down with a car getting 30 mpg and get a cheapo motel then an rv getting...- D_TROS

Tikka CTR in KRG bravo or Tikka UPR??
crazy noone has used or vouched for the UPR. I like mine. Used it in 4 NRL hunter matches this year shooting factory class. my finishes were 4th, 2nd, 2nd, 7th. Those are overall rankings not just for factory class. Its almost on the heavy side but with the MDT lightweight double...- D_TROS

Type of competitions to get young kids started
Im gonna do some rimfire matches this year. but I bet if you took him to Pueblo rimfire Hoser wouldnt mind if you brought him. 7 is on young side. is he strong enough to handle a rifle? my rule to Rueger was he can shoot when he can manipulate/carry his own rifle. he did that at 9. GL DT- D_TROS

Best hunting caliber for barrel length 16.5-20"
My fav hunting rifle is a 7-08 with a 22" light palma barrel. 168 Berger hunters going 2750. Cut down to 18-20 should get you 2600-2650 which is a very effective speed - at 2600 it packs 1000 ft lbs to 900 yards... You are correct to a point.
