New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Have you received word from your Dealer on the Sparrow, or does the actual mailing/processing take months? Are you able to be completely through the process in 3-4 months?
I've heard conflicting reports on the electronic submittals - some Dealers have told me it expedites the $ and going...
Oh, yes - I know of Webb - It's about 1 hr and 20 min for me, used to shoot there quite a bit- still do out to 200 on occasion - it can be a bit dangerous at times, but it's a nice range !
Gunner - I'm in Naples - another hour or so south of you. We are hurting for any long distance ranges around here - Manatee is it. I have to travel 1-1.5 hr. just to get to a 100 yd range.
Port Malabar is a good 600 yd range on the east coast, but it's a 4 hour drive.
I am a huge fan of Casey and the entire Atlas product line. If you can wait, you may want to check out the new release after SHOT. And..........he is readily available for customer support.
That being said, I have had zero issues running a LRA on my larger caliber rifles.
IMHO, get the scope with as much power as your budget will allow, then you can dial back according to conditions. For me, I prefer to have the extra magnification, if needed.
