Silly question about Accuracy International rifles and MPA Chassis.

Waiting for the day that someone does this with a Manners T4. I think I saw a picture back in the day of Rob Gradous putting one in an A5.

What Die Set Would You Recommend for 6BR?

I have 2 6Brs and love them. I use Forster dies but Redding would be OK too. I do not like Whidden dies as they feel cheap to me. Be like @Sheldon N and take out the sizing button in the FL die and then use an expander mandrel. I like the 21st Century Reloading mandrels but the Sinclair ones...

Thanks guys, I hope PVA (or another maker) reads this.

    Defiance Prefit

I know the Defiance actions can do the Remage thing but are shouldered prefits possible on the Defiance actions or are the Bighorns, ARCs, Curtis Custom actions more consistent? I have one friend who is a home smith and says that all of his Defiance barrels can go back and forth between his...

PRS Talk RO’s shooting the course before the match

I used to run matches in Canada. The few of us that ran them together had access to the COF for a long time before the match and then the day before the match (Set up day) we would check sight lines, positions, etc. on the props. You cannot have someone who knows the COF shoot for score...

    That is one sexy gun.

mcrs tactical composite vs mdt acc vs mdt ess vs KRG whiskey 3 vs KRG X-ray

I had a KRG W3 back in the day - I think it was a GenII or maybe a GenIII. It was a top notch product and I have a Bravo for my Vudoo 22 whenever it makes it across the border. I currently have 2 Manners T4As and they are great and love them as well. A Manners will run you much closer to $1,800...

    Cadex Defense or Accuracy International

I had an AIAX (not MC) and just wrapped up a review of the Cadex R7 (not the Guardian) - a very small review - more of a first look really. The Cadex impressed me a lot more than I thought it would. If I was jumping out of helicopters with it I would probably go with the AI but the Cadex...

    Rifle Scopes New 5-25x50 Vudu

I have one on my kitchen table to play with (loaned to me from a retailer). It is a pretty neat little optic - I know the pictures make it seem small but it is impressively small when lined up against S&B or Minox 5-25s. I haven't played with it much but I would agree with @morganlamprecht...

Has anyone added weight to their Bravo?

I have had this idea for awhile but have not got around to starting it yet. I think more weight is great most of the time but maybe not all of the time. I was thinking of buying a cheap Arca clamp off of amazon and a 5LB scuba diving weight. You can slide it around the length of the rail and if...

    Kelbly's Black Bear Tactical

I ran an AI last season and then an MPA for the first part of this season - I now have two T4As. Not the cheapest journey to take but I am very happy with my T4s - I think they are an awesome stock. I wish the bottom of the PRS stocks were inline with the barrel channel like the T4s as I like...

Rifle Scopes S&B PMII 5x25 explanations

I have 3 of the 5-25s all with the DT (double turn) turrets. I do not find the MTC (more tactile clicks) and LT (locking turrets) to be functions have add value to me. I can never get the MTC turrets to go to X.1 or X.2 it always shoots past and then I have to dial back down. If my dope was...

    Kelbly's Black Bear Tactical

The external look of the action, especially the rear tang, reminds me of an AI action. Looks great!

PRS Talk Is it time to make a Major and Minor power catagory in Precision Rifle Comps?

What is up with guys and pump pillows these days? It seems like every criticism of PRS is about support bags by someone who has never shot a match. I remember a few years ago the pump pillows and tac packs, etc. came out (I have them of course) and they were popular but in my experience their...

Ruger Precision Rifle 6mm Br Norma Lapua brass

I would try a standard unmodified magpul mag first if you can. I have 2 6Brs, one on an Defiance Elite action that feeds great from an AI AW mag with the HRD kits and then another on a Defiance Tactical action that I had AICS mags and the Primal rights kit. The HRD kits are top quality gear and...

MPA BA Competition Vs KRG Whiskey 3?

The MPA has the thumb wheels and then you use the set screws to lock things into place. It isn't a bad system but they are tiny little screws and I found that they did work loose on occasion - it must just happen from vibrations or recoil or what have you. I think if you look at the side...

Ruger Precision Rifle 6mm Br Norma Lapua brass

I don't see why it wouldn't feed OK into an RPR. You can probably use an AICS mag with a Primal rights adapter kit. My one rifle used PMAGs quite well until I had a mag implode on me. I will be testing it more in the future.

    Case trimmers

Did 150 cases of 6BR on the Giraud in like 10 minutes last night (they don't really need trimming but it does the chamfer/deburr at the same time). IMO the biggest time saver in precision reloading.

    THINK ABOUT IT

@Skookum what is the goal of doing these things? Change the gear, the current crop of top shooters will still win. Make the targets smaller, the top shooters will still win. Reduce the gear, the top shooters will still win. Change one of many things and the results will be the same. Top...

    THINK ABOUT IT

Not sure why people think PRS is no longer practical. You are presented with a problem (barricades/props/natural terrain/various distances) and a set amount of time to solve the problem. Yes the obstacles are maybe not real world sometimes but it is still working on the shooters problem solving...
