    PRS Talk Match fee?

$50 dollars is super cheap IMO. In Canada (different market for sure) the matches I run cost anywhere from $90-110 for a one day event, these matches are about 100 round events. Last year we ran two and I think between the 3 of us that ran them it probably cost us about $500. It isnt much but I...

    PRS Talk Match fee?

I doubt many MDs are walking away from a match with lots in their pocket. By the time everything is all done I would think that the dollars left over don't even work out to minimum wage. Yes there are lots of one time costs (targets, props, hit indicators, etc.) but every match you need to be...

Defiance Action - Cerakoted and rough - Need Help

I am not an expert as have only had defiance actions for a couple of months but they are tight actions. I would recommend putting on a couple of movies you like and cycling the crap out of that thing. 600 cycles won't make much of a difference. I am looking forward to any other responses as well.

    Defiance elite??

I run the HRD gear mag kits out of AW mags and they feed great. I am very pleased with the mag kits and they are not a half-assed attempt - no cutting stuff, reusing springs, etc. I find that the lift is different. It is hard to say if it is lighter but it is very smooth. The firing spring...

    Defiance elite??

I have one with about 300 rounds on it so far. I had it done up in 6BR. The action is smooth, but not quite AI or TRG smooth. The mechanical ejector gives me a bit of trouble on occasion but I have a feeling that is a bolt manipulation problem I am having. After using spring loaded ejectors for...

    Rifle Scopes Another scope selection

@longshot2000 that is one great summary, For me NF is always out as I hate how the whole ocular housing is out. They are good scopes otherwise but it really bugs me (I know I am not alone). @Tony1320 I am the opposite and much prefer the DT compared to the MTC/LT turrents. The DT is pretty...

For those that have the Vudoos in a Grayboe. Do you find a need to bed them?

First Bag. OG Game Changer or Tactical Udder?

Up in Canuckistan I have never seen any of the Tactical Udders so not sure how bender they are. However, the GCs (all of the versions) make a pretty stable surface when fllopped on their side (like a really big rear bag). I have found this to be a pretty useful position for the bag on surfaces...

Triggers - Which have the best reputations for reliability?

CG22, a version of the trigger is used in the MK13 (I think it is the MK13 at least). Probably a good testament to its reliability.

    6 dasher vs 6br vs 6xc

Just a heads up to those looking for another mag kit option. I ordered up some HRD Gear Mag Kits for my 6BR. They are a complete kit with spring, follower, and spacer. I am not expert but would guess he is using milled derlin or something like that, very high end product. I am using AW mags...

    Meopta Meostar Binos

Has anyone tried out the above binos? I am looking at the 15X56 for use as spotters mostly. I have read all the reviews I can find - any additional info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    New Defiance Elite Action

@bjay is correct. The Elite is very similar to the Bighorn TL3 - really the only differences would be the swappable bolt heads and bayonet style of the TL3. The tenon on the Elite is huge - it also has the coned bolt nose and the fancy firing spring thingy.

    New Defiance Elite Action

I have had mine for a couple of weeks now and am very pleased with it. I have it in a MPA chassis and it dropped in no problem. The extended tenon piece has caused no issues that I am aware of at least. I am currently feeding 6Br rounds out of AW mags with the HRD Gear mag kits and it is...

    Defiance deviant or Accuracy International

I do agree with @Backspace that if the chassis and trigger work for you that there really is nothing out there that is going to best an AI. The only reason I switched this year is that I find the MPA chassis (and traditional stocks like the T3/T4/A5 as well) to be more comfortable/easier to...

    Defiance deviant or Accuracy International

AIs are awesome (I have one) and so are TRGs (I had one). They are well built, tough as nails (the AI more so than the TRG), and as accurate as any custom. However, if you are doing PRS comps I think the needs requirement is a bit different. Yes there are a few guys out there who run AIs quite...

    Defiance deviant or Accuracy International

If you are going to stick with a AICS chassis I would just get an AI. If the ergos are not for you I would go for something else. As the others have said the Defiance actions will probably not be as reliable in adverse conditions. I am shooting a Defiance this season and have not even had it...

    MPA BA22

The whole set up - I guess accuracy information is mostly what I am looking for. The other option is the VPT and track down a Lilja for it (up in Canuckistan so it is a bit harder).

    MPA BA22

I know there are a few guys running around with the MPA chassis for the CZ455 but has anyone grabbed their full rifle? Am looking for some opinions on it. Thanks!

    triggertech in an ai?

I have heard from a couple of sources (so take this with a huge grain of salt) that the AI Team is shooting a special trigger. I do not know what that means but the conversation I was having was in regards to pull weight. I hate to admit it as it probably points to less than perfect...

Talk me into or out of 6BR for PRS

I was out with mine today. Granted it still has less than 50 down the tube (26") I was getting 2,800 FPS. I can probably add a bit more powder and after speed up be close to 2,900 FPS or just under. I don't think I willl hot rod it though.
