    Which 2-stage Remington trigger?

I agree with the above about the creep in the Timney. It is almost not there but if you really focus on just the trigger you can tell it is there. It is so small I am not sure if I would worry about it but in comparison to AI/TRG/CG Extreme it is there.

    Which 2-stage Remington trigger?

CG Extreme 22, simply the best 2 stage around IMO. Very defined 2nd stage wall but also quite light.

Defiance Deviant vs Big Horn TL3

I get my Elite in 6Br in the next day or so I will find out shortly. The smith who built it didn't mention anything being out or sorts when testing it.

Defiance Deviant vs Big Horn TL3

The extended tenon on the Elite should not interfere with anything. It is a standard 700 foot print.

Defiance Deviant vs Big Horn TL3

Or, go with the Defiance Deviant Elite, kind of like smushing together the TL3 and a Deviant Controlled round feed, mechanical ejector, extended tenon and coned bolt nose. No swappable bolt heads though. I have a buddy who has a TL3 and he thinks it is great too. We will be comparing in shortly.

PRS Talk Your Squad Matters - Randomize it !

I am going to my first ever sanctioned match in about 6 weeks. There is definitely a super squad and I would say they are also common at the matches that I run. A lot of the folks choose to shoot with their buds which I currently don't do much about. I do try to get a mix of newbies and...

Load development on virgin brass - never again

I have always load dev with virgin brass mostly as a practical expedient (I also hate load dev). It has more or less been OK. I even shot a match last year with virgin brass but I did run a mandrel through the necks first. With my new gun (6Br) I am going to try something different. Do you...

Rifle Scopes Am I going to have to sell my Schmidt?

It is the height at the balance point that pushed me and the other gentleman away from the AX as well. As much as I love the AI trigger (and I love me some 2 stages) a lighter trigger is much appreciated. I use a CG22 which is an awesome 2 stage if you want to stick with them. I ran a whole...

Rifle Scopes Am I going to have to sell my Schmidt?

I would like to know your reasoning as well. I myself am doing a build on a defiance and I have had a conversation on here with another fellow who is doing the same thing. It isn't really important but it would be interesting to see if we are doing it for the same reasons.

    Advanced Marksmanship Dry firing

I try to do it everyday but probably am closer to 4 days a week. I use my RRS tripod with a tac table on it and sometimes I clamp a 2X4 to it. I mostly just work on getting that perfect trigger pull in a variety of positions. The S&B @ 10 metres is what I do as well.

    Advanced Marksmanship AI Bolt manipulation

I am not shooting my AI in matches this year but if I have learned one thing about them. If the gun isn't feeding normal rounds (as in not Br/Dasher/etc.) it is because of how you are running the bolt. I agree with the above assessments about your short stroking it.

Talk me into or out of 6BR for PRS

Also I want to point out that Matt B. runs his Dasher in the Mid 2,900s (2,960 if my memory serves) so the spread could be less than 100-150 FPS.

Talk me into or out of 6BR for PRS

In Canadia the stuff is plentiful and inexpensive (for Lapua brass). The BR/BRX/Dasher has not caught on here quite yet and the 6XC is all the rage still.

Talk me into or out of 6BR for PRS

I am building a 6br on a Defiance Elite action up here in Canada. I am by no means a pro but I reached some of the same conclusions as the guys above. Going through the hassle of FFing for an extra 100-150 FPS (if that) is not worth it to me. In Western Canada our matches are all 800M and in...

    What progressive press ?

I have the 550C (same as the B but has grease nipples for easier maintenance). I think the extra complexity of the of the 650 isnt worth it to me.

    recoil management on barricade

I shot an AX a lot last year using the method on the video (with a sling). I found the technique @ultrarunner7 describes as being easier to shoot. Loading the AX hard is a bit more of a challenge but it still works.

AI AX 308 or Area 419 6.5 Creedmoor

I have an AX with with 308, 6.5x47 and 6XC barrels. The quality of AIs is undeniable, however, if you plan on shooting matches a custom may be easier to shoot. The AI trigger is amazing but a CG 22 trigger at 1 pound is easier to shoot than a 3.5 pound trigger. I also admit that my MPA chassis...

Maggie’s Ok, we need a little levity around here.... Justin Trudeau

HEY! I come to this site to forget about my illustrious leader not see him more! I was just talking to my wife on the way into work today and mentioned how Trudeau makes headlines all the time about stuff that is not politics (dress up in India, Vogue Cover, Peoplekind, etc.). Whereas Steven...

Using Bullets That Are Not Sensitive To Seating Depth

I think there are types of seating depth sensitivity. 1) Your load being +/- a couple thou and still being a great load 2) Your load being able to shoot well at 50 thou jump to a jam. I am not really sure the second type actually exists - I at least have not encountered it. I was being lazy...

    NightStalker "PRO" model

I would love to be proven wrong and see lower cost options come on the scene but I would highly doubt anything with a centre column like that can compete with the system tripods (RRS/Gitzo/leofoto). The centre columns just have so much more wobble in them than when the ball head is directly...
