New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I was going to say if you decide to ditch the MK18 let me know I would give it a good home. I have been trolling the "For Sale" forum hoping one would show up. Guess I will just buy one of GB or from my dealer when I get home.
I have the Gen I SASS and it is a heavy SOB, I personally wouldn't want to carry it hunting unless I was shooting prone or out of a house with a nice bench/rest.

As others have said Thunderbeast is excellent I have their 338BA can which is awesome but a little much for what you are looking for. I was going to pick up a 30BA from them as well but my usual source was out of stock and I ended up getting a deal from him on the Surefire SOCOM762, submitted...
I have the Thunderbeast 338BA as well for .338, .300WM and occasionally .308. When I saw the size of the can I knew I wasn't going to want to run it on my .300BLK so I picked up one of the SOCOM 7.62's.
Spoke with Barrett this morning the breech conversion is required on all older riffles to step down to 300WM and .308, the newer MRADS do not require anything. Barrel TPI for 338LM is 3/4x20 300WM and .308 are both 5/8x24.
Need a little help guys. Barrett has this Breech conversion out for the MRAD now but I have not gotten any clear information on which rifle version it is needed on. I read some threads on here that appeared to say this was only needed for the older MRAD rifles and that it would not be required...
I have the TBAC 338BA and breaks for 3/4x20 and 5/8x24, just want to see what the threads on the conversion barrels are so I can get the correct breaks ordered.
Man what a conundrum just when I get ready to pull the trigger on the MRAD I read this thread. I know very little about the AI platforms and have never heard a bad thing about them and now they definitely have my curiosity. I do have a few questions about the AT vs the AX. I really want the...
Does anyone know what the TPI is for the .308 and 300WM conversion barrels? The 338 is 3/4 x 20 just wondering if the other cal barrels have the same or if I need a different size break . I email Barrett customer service and haven't gotten a response back.
