New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I'm contemplating selling my ECC and coming on over to the dark side with one of the new slick sides (16 CL and then adding a 260 barrel later on).
Couple quick questions for users of the MWS
What is the POI repeatability between barrel changes (I.e can I go to the range and switch...
Have you shot many hogs with supersonic 300 BO?
I'm doing a Hog hunt in the fall and will be using 110 TSX (black tip) though my 9" SBR. The hogs we'll be hunting most likely won't be over 300 pounds and within 100 yds, so I'm not worried about being under gunned.
Surefire cans are pretty accurate. I wouldn't be concerned about the mount. I ended up buying both because I wanted the ruggedness of SF for heavy battle rifle classes (SR25) and I recently bought the TBAC to be a tad lighter and I presume quieter.
I have no hands on experience with the...
One benefit of the Surefire is being able to use it in on your 556-rc mounts as well.
If you ever envision using it on a semi-auto platform then I would lean more towards the SF. Based on your description for use being bolt guns, I would go TBAC.
I currently have a 762-rc and love it...
Great first list.
My only suggestions which is really just echoing what others have said.
22lr: either Silencerco Spectre II or Sparrow SS. The Sparrow will be a tad quieter on a rifle host but have first round pop on a pistol host. The Spectre ii won't have the frp but not as...
I personally bought a Socom762-RC but the Saker wasn't out yet and the ability to buy a 5.56 end cap is tempting if you plan on only buying one AR can. The Saker is by all accounts quieter, but they haven't been out in the wild long enough to be truly vetted in terms of POI, longevity and...
Good choice.
It should be just as accurate.
Silencershop has no eta on the new CB9 series so I ordered directly through TBAC. The default color is black, but you can specify FDE for the same price.
Apologize for what?
You made a factual statement: "The 30 cal can will have too much air space between the bullet and suppressor" with only your "one time experience" to back it up.
You refuse to name your setup or can that was used so that others with more experience could help you diagnose...
Wow..... Your one time over countless others does not constitute empirical evidence.
It was probably the mount/barrel profile/can. What was the can?
Shooting sub calibers through a larger bore does NOT degrade accuracy in "quality" cans. Even sound reduction isn't that compromised do to...
Surefire is recommended a lot because their mounts are rock solid, they have a minimal POI shift fir a qd system, they are accurate, built with tough steel (I.e inconel) and have less blowback than alot of cans (important for semi auto use). They are not the quietest or lightest and one of the...
Below is my generic response to anyone that is new to rifle suppressors.
You seem to have a good grasp of what you are looking for. In your situation I would look at what you want to suppress more often (bolt vs. Semi).
If bolt I would buy the new TBAC CB9 or CB7.
If semi I would buy a...
Bump for any updates on ETA or some more sneak peeks of soon to be done cans.
I placed an order directly through TB for a CB9 on May 12th. I was quoted 6 weeks, and was wondering if that is still the current time frame or if there has been any delays. Thanks Zak!
It was confirmed by SF that the 762-rc would be fine for 300 RUM as well. But with a 338BA inbound I plan on using that can instead and save the RC for my 7.62x51s and 300 blackouts.
