I think the screw heads are soft and loose. I bet it didn't even take much force to strip. On advise of this thread I didn't even bother with the hex heads and tapped a T15 bit into the hex head and then they backed out without any issue.

I had similar experiences with Redding non-inline dies. I thought I could drop a 22 cal stem in a 6 Dasher die. I quickly found out the O.D. of the stems were different so that didn't work. If a 6mm seating stem is deep enough for VLD bullets with long tips it may work for 22 cal...

    Proof steel Competition Contour prefits

Having both a competition contour and a MTU I can confirm the comp contour is significantly heavier than an MTU.

    This was for a 22 BRA. I wouldn't recommend pushing it that hard but here's the data I recorded. 26" PVA Osprey barrel with 90gr SMK's and CCI 450's in Lapua brass. 29.5gr 3048.6 fps 29.6 3067.2 29.7 3075.5 29.8 3090 29.9 3095.7 30.0 3117 30.1 3127.7 30.2 3150.8 30.3 3160 30.4 3167...

Your guess is accurate. I ended up testing different charge weights up to 30.5gr. I'll check my log later and post the results. That book data I'd guess is just being extremely extremely safe. Unfortunately it seems like a lot of book data is so understated these days that it's worthless and...

My internal and external weights sit in a parts bin these days. I didn't need them for balance and I don't notice any practical difference in recoil when shooting if the rifle weighs 1 or 2 pounds more. I did notice the 1 or 2 pounds when carrying or moving the rifle. light weight plastic...

For those with N540 experience, what would be a good starting point for 90gr SMKs? I'm not finding any good load data so far.

The base and pro is an AI UK thing. The US AINA rifles are like the pro, bridge, hinge and bag rider.

    6mm Dasher

I'd guess it's technically possible but definitely the hard way vs Alpha Dasher brass or fire forming Lapua.

    Seating die for 22 dasher

I seat 90gr SMKs in. 22 BRA with a Forester 6 Dasher die so I'd guess those combos you listed would work with the Forester.

Any South Florida rifle ranges of 1,000 yds and longer?

That's pretty accurate. To get to the berm take Naffi road to the clubhouse and keep going straight. Down the road maybe 200 yards is a few derelict buildings and a bunch of junk, then the 360 bay is back there. There's a gate beyond the 360 bay and the berm is about a 100 yards out in a...

Maybe try a WTB in the PX also. I bet a lot of people have 1 of 2 in a parts bin unused. Might have bought them to try with a AW cut custom but went back to AICS mags.

Suppressors TBAC ASR SR thread print

it seems like the depth from the shoulder of the brake to the fins in the port areas is 1.5" total. So a bit less than that from the shoulder to the front of the barrel, say 1.4" in a 3/4"-24 thread seems like it should duplicate the ASR thread cut and fit with the SR brakes. Good call; all...

Suppressors TBAC ASR SR thread print

Does anyone have the dimensions or prints for the threading used on ASR barrels for the SR mounts? This threading looks smart for SR mounts, reduces the OAL added and would make cleaning the crown easy. Looks like it should be easy enough for a Smith to cut 5/8"-24 or 3/4"-24 threads like this...

No way is that a 308 projectile, way to sleek and it would have a bc much better than 1.2 G7 or whatever your 308 is rocking. Here's a more accurate picture of a 308 in flight:
