    I think the screw heads are soft and loose. I bet it didn't even take much force to strip. On advise of this thread I didn't even bother with the hex heads and tapped a T15 bit into the hex head and then they backed out without any issue.

    Does anyone have the dimensions or prints for the threading used on ASR barrels for the SR mounts? This threading looks smart for SR mounts, reduces the OAL added and would make cleaning the crown easy. Looks like it should be easy enough for a Smith to cut 5/8"-24 or 3/4"-24 threads like this...
