New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I think the guts of the trigger are the same but the housing is different. Comp trigger will drop into AT action. AXSR has an additional roll pin holding the trigger in place. I'm not sure if the comp would fit in the AXSR.
Are you interested in the AI features or prefer the handling (60 degree)? Or do you have no use for quick change barrels, AX mags and the AI ecco system? Or do you love the feel of 90 degree actions and can't handle 12 lbs of bolt lift?
To me it's AI or GTFO but to each their own.
I saw EO has had right hand firing pins in stock. And I get the feeling MH and EO have stopped carrying firing pins other than black so grab them while you can.
unbonded is nicer for everyone (Civ/Mil) when it comes to servicing the rifle. The military has armorers that take apart and service rifles, I'm sure they could deal with a bonded action but a few bolts torqued to spec are just easier for all involved. Plus I'm sure it's more efficient to not...
Also throw cleaning into the mix. I find a barrel that I've cleaned will take a few rounds to return to zero. When doing load development now I foul a barrel with 5 rounds first before starting.
Mine feel similar but a little different. I never would have guessed the lift in the AXSR is lighter. The biggest side by side difference I can tell is on close the AXSR cams closed or pulls is noticably to the chamber.
I'd guess bonding could still be done by the user if so inclined? Or at least on the ATX. AXSR bonding would leave the trigger unserviceable I believe.
