    Upgrading my bi pod

I like the cal more than the PSR but not enough to replace my PSR. Only thing I’d add to your choice is maybe a different mount. The throw lever style mount from RRS can be easier to use on the clock, especially if you need to dismount it on the fly. RRS SC-LR

My first reloading attempt was a failure, what now?

If you decide to pull invest in a collet. It’ll be way easier on you, and the recovery of components a breeze

    25GT

Well the 25GT is back in action. The 6CM barrel started giving up the ghost and I only had 100 6mm bullets left. so we spun the barrel back on, and I did a quick work up with the Berger 135 long range target hybrid. I measured the erosion and total throat erosion has been .007 after 1300...

    25GT revisited 11/2023

Put the 25 GT barrel back on the the Impact last week. The 6 CM finally gave up. I’ve been looking forward to trying the new bergers out. Most of the reports I’ve seen on the bergers versus the Ace have shown they are nearly twins and loads are within .2-.4 grains. I started out with a shot...

    **6 Creedmoor**

Quick up date on the 6 creedmoor I’ve been rpunning for last 6 months. Out of projectiles so I’m going back to my 25gt. Pulled the barrel last night after measuring erosion and giving it its first patch since 100 rounds. as I posted earlier the erosion has been super consistent at .015 per 250...

    Foundation Genesis 2 vs Centurion

I have the centurion, and have handled and shot an exodus a couple of times. I have small hands and found the exodus to be too far of a reach for me. Centurion has been super stable off a heavy shmedium.

Rifle Competition Events Central New Mexico Club Match (with course of fire)

It’s a precision rifle style match. It’ll be 70 rounds. If you have something that’ll allow you to shoot more comfortably that’s no problem. However there is a little light hiking involved, so you’ll have t transport all your gear around 1mile(200-300) yards at a time. If you can shoot from a...

    25GT revisited 11/2023

@Wapitiaddict I really don’t know much about the 250 savage either but, I think the GT case would be easier to tune, steeper shoulder straiter walls, I would also think that you’d have a better selection of quality brass. The 250 might also take a little wild catting for the reamer. I wonder...

    Powder funnels

I’ve used the saterns and the 419 set. If your only going to ever load one caliber the satern is great. The 419 is better in my opinion and the flexibility to add a drop tubes or a new caliber with is nice. I had 4 satern funnels and sold them off after I moved to the 419.

    6mm creedmoor muzzle brake suggestions

Insite heathen. Or the Ace. I like the heathen more as there is less over pressure on the shooter, but the recoil of the Ace seems to be flatter

    **6 Creedmoor**

I use the Sinclair tool. Sinclair TOOL I usually end up doing 6-7 measurements and throw the 1-2 out that are way off. Usually the others are within .003 of each other and then average them. the trick is consistent bullet engagement, the technique that seems to most consistent is letting...

    **6 Creedmoor**

    With the cartridges reputation as a barre burner I thought I’d post up my throat erosion. other than a 150 105 hybrids with a mild load of h4831 for break in. It has been IMR 4451 and 110 A-tips at 3075 for the other 600. @ 250 rounds -.015 — .016 total @ 500 rounds -.011 — .026 total @ 750...

    Best .308Win Muzzle Break?

I l’ve run the Insite heathen on everything from a 6.5 ceedmoor to a 25 GT. Makes i big difference. I like it more than the hellfire as there seems to be less overpressure on me when I’m shooting than the hellfire or the crosstac I’ve tried.
