    Mules redeployed

Among my college papers I still have a receipt for fall tuition in 1985. For 17 credits, lab fees, insurance, activity fee and health center fee it was $496. This was for junior level electrical engineering courses. Plug that into an inflation calculator and it's about $1350 today. Todays...

Who here has changed their politics in the past 5-6 years?

I agree that they're two sides of the same coin but I'm not a big enough conspiracy buff to believe I'm "doing as directed".

Canadian Premier Did Something to Unvaccinated No Other Government Leader in World Has Done!

Like I said in another post, Alberta is the Texas of Canada and no, that wasn't a dig on Texas.

Who here has changed their politics in the past 5-6 years?

I've always been a small "l" libertarian, a few of them even got elected in Alaska but that was 30 or 40 years ago. I guess the main thing that has changed for me is that I used to vote for Republicans thinking they would do some good, now I vote for Republicans just to spite the other side.

    WOW….

Stolen valor experience…to save someone else under $100..

I wanted to ask god for a bike, but I know that's not how he works. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

My wife knew a gal with a PhD who took cabs everywhere because driving was too confusing. She would inevitably get lost in her own neighborhood.

Think again before hiring Ivy League graduates

Not quite but they would take the ruler to the back of the knuckles if you acted up. I do think that half year with them is the reason I got a prize for being the best reader in the 2nd grade. The prize was a book of course, I still have it.

Think again before hiring Ivy League graduates

I started kindergarten in a Catholic school where the nuns had us sitting at desks and learning the three R's. Then we moved to a different state where, because of my December birth date, I had to wait until the following fall to start kindergarten again in a public school. We finger painted...

Gun purchases with CC now traceable

Big talk until you go to buy a box of ammo and it's denied because you have a low ESG score. If you don't think that's what they have in mind you're kidding yourself.

Gun purchases with CC now traceable

Visa did push back: In a letter obtained by CBS News, sent by Visa on Wednesday in response to congressional Democrats who supported the plan, the company said, “We believe that asking payment networks to serve as a moral authority by deciding which legal goods can or cannot be purchased sets a...

I'll look further into the transmission. Carbs and points don't bother me, been playing with them for almost fifty years.

Well there's the '61 panhead and the '72 GMC, I guess the pickup has some solid state in the radio. I'm going to put a rebuilt long block in the '94 which has TBI, when I do that I figure the 4L60E and computer can go away in favor of a 700R4 I got out of a '91. I'll still go with electronic...

Nanny State Test: Company Locks Thermostats of 22K Customers, Cites 'Energy Emergency'

Oh hell no. Not only don't I have any "smart" appliances but when my desktop computer isn't in use it's turned off and half the time when I leave the house the phone is on the coffee table. Two of my vehicles have carbs and points & condenser ignitions. Yeah I'm a Luddite.
