    I've always been a small "l" libertarian, a few of them even got elected in Alaska but that was 30 or 40 years ago. I guess the main thing that has changed for me is that I used to vote for Republicans thinking they would do some good, now I vote for Republicans just to spite the other side.

    Oh hell no. Not only don't I have any "smart" appliances but when my desktop computer isn't in use it's turned off and half the time when I leave the house the phone is on the coffee table. Two of my vehicles have carbs and points & condenser ignitions. Yeah I'm a Luddite.
