Having this exact issue with my FD4. I talked to a really too shooter that uses accutac a lot and he polishes the surface where the knob is. He feels it’s the surface finish that cause the bipod to loosen tension. Haven’t had time to do it on mine yet but I always carry 2 bipods anyway. For now...
not new but a shit thing to do to another small company. China copying shit is one thing but a former dealer of the Chad and someone that’s very involved in the sport as a smith and competitor. Shit thing to do. Definitely won’t send anymore business his way.
I definitely don’t recommend Hornady...
Yea the other tough part with that setup is target transitions. And not as good for training. I do like being able to watch back and see exact how steady I was or where exactly I was when I broke the shot etc.
5/10. It puts a dark tint over everything, takes up the eye relief, and destroys the eyebox. It’s certainly a disadvantage running one but you can eventually get used to it. The few times that I take it off it’s like a breath of fresh air looking through the scope.
last match I just switched to the aluminum version of the gray ops MPA MPRO XL inserts. No weights on my rifle just a 28” 1.250” barrel and it’s the best setup now for me.
I’ve used a triple pull in PRS matches many times. Used it all of the 2021 season pretty much exclusively. That said there were definitely times I wanted something slimmer. You could always ask to borrow someone’s bipod for a stage where a triple doesn’t work.
I’ve also shot NRLH with a double...
Yea I mean truthfully it’s pretty damn good. In my initial impressions. My buddy had his at a 2 day match we just shot this past weekend so every stage I was looking thru it at various targets and distances etc. until mine gets here.
This is the exact review I’m working on right now. 840 vs 540 vs TT735. I learned a lot from putting my big scope review together and too many scopes just equals a lot that gets lost in the video. I basically covered the same scopes + more in my current series as Area419 did in this video.
You can also add weights to the legs at the bottom near the feet so if you glass for long stretches in 1 spot that’s windy it could help you with some stability.
