    WARNING on Freedom Munitions .308Win 168gr A-Max

Why would you do this? Bad move. Would not recommend. 0/10 Two thumbs down. Ammunition that is known to be out of spec. > Shooting it anyway. >> Trashing your breech faces, firing pins and possibly triggers. >> Just asking for a complete case rupture that will put your ass in the hospital...

Precision Rifle Gear Sig KILO Warp WMLRF

I am distrusting on anything Sig makes that goes bang. Not a fan of their development/beta/rollout/endless iterations style. But . . . to be fair, their batting average on optics and LRFs is pretty good. They arguably have the most efficient LRF combo of hardware/software out there and at a...

    When does the winning start?

Hope for the best. Plan for the worst. Trample the weak, hurtle the dead. and spread it out strategically.

    WARNING on Freedom Munitions .308Win 168gr A-Max

Fuck no! He knew he was having issues even in two separate bolt guns from the beginning. . . . . . . . but. . . . . "Not a huge problem in a bolt gun." per the OP.

    WARNING on Freedom Munitions .308Win 168gr A-Max

So the ammo was purchased 3 or 4 years ago? Really? How is that not a huge problem? Ummmm. . . . With all of the above HUGE issues exposed when you first started shooting this ammunition, is it reasonable to assume that you should have realized this immediately rather than months or years...

    Ballistic Subject Matter Expert needed

Why did you not revive and continue with your original thread from last year? Is this still the same system you linked on YouTube? I think your idea is too based on theoretical perfect ballistic flight out of a theoretically perfect chamber/bore. Your video mentions verifying zero. Bore...

It sounds like you are anchoring your origin or first known position at the chamber. Does your proposed system allow or compensate for curvature of the bore via offsets or similar? There is almost no such thing as a straight bore from end to end with the average curvature between muzzle and...

We need to get something out of the way early on in this thread. . . . . Do you own and wear any dark colored track suits with the white stripe thing going on down the side? Sincerely

I guess it depends on your comfort zone and methods. We can eyeball a bore good enough to get dialed in somewhere on 8.5x11 paper at 100. Then just send #1. Measure the correction and finger fuck the turrets to whatever the reticle is telling you. #2 should be money.

I definitely didn't mean the comment as a knock against your ideas and approach. Even if this market may not be your ultimate target for profitability, I'm sure the wild variety of firearms and users would make for a healthy sample to work with and develop your final versions. Best of luck with...

Still, this may be a decent proving ground. Such a system would definitely benefit larger bore precision guns where the munitions cost 10's, 100's or 1000's of dollars per round. I'm guessing the basic foundational notions involved with doing it for a rifle could be scaled to any other system...

Likewise. Sometimes that is the only way to guarantee the extermination and eradication of a rapidly spreading and reproducing disease. Sorta like cutting one's arm off with your own machete after a zombie bites your hand. It might be sub-optimal but the alternative is a solid No Go.

Alternative choice to push-button sling loops on bolt guns?

I'm not referring to an emergency. If the rifle is slung on the back, getting it off without getting hung up on kit or pulling helmet/comms off isn't easy. A 14 to 18 lb rifle strapped around you and your gear will usually = a pretty taught sling. A simple Fastex buckle in the middle allows...
