Re: Thunder Valley Precision - Ohio 2011 Schedule Are there any issues with Rt. 93? Last time I came up there was water over it in a couple of places.

Thunder Valley 3-13-11 Intimidator practice day

Re: Thunder Valley 3-13-11 Intimidator practice day The only 308 ammo I have available right now is factory 168 and 155, and I'd be running a 20" barrel. Would that work on that course?

    Suppressors what about a S&W 3913?

Re: what about a S&W 3913? I bought one when they first came out since I was issued a 5906 at the time. I shot and carried it a lot and eventually bought a second and sometimes carried them both. After we went to the M&Ps I sold off the second one. They are excellent concealed-carry pistols...

    Youth 22LR

Re: Youth 22LR I bought the Marlin 15Y for my then 7 year old daughter. I had to cut an inch or so off the stock to fit her back then. When she got older I got a new stock for it.

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Elite knob question

I got one of the 3-12 FFP Elites and zeroed it today. I can't figure out how to reset the knobs to 0. There's a set screw at the top of the knobs but loosening it didn't allow the knobs to rotate. The instructions that came with the scope show a different type of knob.

    Suppressors Raven Concealment Systems

Re: Raven Concealment Systems I got one in 2007 for the M&P with light. I wore it a lot, mostly IWB. Several months ago I found a crack in it; they replaced it within a week or two, no hassles at all. The newer one appears to be made of thicker material. The design carries and conceals well...

    Rifle Scopes LE Optic Question

Re: LE Optic Question We have 3 rifles with 3.5x10 VariX III Leupolds that date back to the early 90s. I've mentioned a few times we need to think about upgrading the scopes. The other day my boss says something along the lines of "sure, what's a good scope cost, about $600?". I about fell...

Re: Help find 1911/220 quad mag pouch (LEO) Got a little more time to elaborate: Several years back we had two officers carrying single stack 9mm S&Ws (the rest of us carried the double-stack 5906) I got them the Don Hume quad pouches; they seemed to work out well.

    Gonna need some pants

Re: Gonna need some pants I like the Woolrich lightweight pants. I've also got a pair of the Versa-Tacs from Railriders. They are made from a very tough nylon and I use them for wet weather range days instead of the typical cotton pants. They're more expensive but they seem extremely sturdy.

    Suppressors Laserlyte rear laser

Re: Laserlyte rear laser I installed one for a local judge. It seemed bright enough. I don't know about the battery life. What I don't like is that you turn it on by hitting the switch on the rear of the sight; I don't see how you'd do that in a hurry.

best outside the waist belt holster for 1911

Re: best outside the waist belt holster for 1911 I used and liked a Kramer Belt Scabbard with my Desert Warrior. Lately I've been carrying an M&P40 in a Sparks 55BN, one of those for a 1911 should be pretty good.
