Re: La State Prone-F-Class Championship- 10/6 and 7 Texas did a 2-man team match on Friday. 30 shots each man. It was great for sighting in and getting used to the range. It was $10.00 I think per shooter. I showed up solo and they paired me up. No sign up until the match on the team match

F T/R Competition To Turn, or Not To Turn?

Re: To Turn, or Not To Turn? Once you have sized your case, you need to run an expander die thru the case with the proper size mandrel. Then it should fit your neck turning mandrel. (Read jeffvn's post above) I don't know what Midway sells, but the Sinclair stuff interchanges between the...

F T/R Competition To Turn, or Not To Turn?

Re: To Turn, or Not To Turn? Sinclair has all you need. Expander, neck turner, mandrels. You will need an accurate way to measure wall thickness (tubing mic). Most guys I know do one specific caliper with a seperate turner setup. Once it's set you can leave it and keep your cases uniform...

F T/R Competition To Turn, or Not To Turn?

Re: To Turn, or Not To Turn? I seat bullets with an arbor press and before turning the necks, it was very noticeable the difference in neck tensions due to various neck wall thickness. I don't think a Lee collet die would compensate for that, but I have not tried one.

F T/R Competition Increasing Competitor Numbers?

Re: Increasing Competitor Numbers? I can somewhat see what is happening at Boulder. I tried to make a visit to that club during the past year. An attempt to contact via e-mail was made that I would like to see the facility on a Las Vegas 3-day trip. No response. I then drove the 45 minutes to...

    F T/R Competition Brass failure

Re: Brass failure I shoot 175's with 44.8 grains of Varget and I have never seen that, even on Federal cases. I wonder if the neck-sizing has anything to do with it. It seems like the brass has to go somewhere, and with the neck-sizing it cannot blow out, and only expand lengthwise.

F T/R Competition Sinclair bipod shooting techniques

Re: Sinclair bipod shooting techniques I tried various methods today, got a lot of horizontal spread when I wasn't directly behind it and shouldered with a little pressure. It seems more sensitive to your hold than the Harris, but when I got it right, it really grouped well.
