It is a serious long range thermal clip-on scope or stand alone scope with internal digital 5.56mm...
I hate it when that happens, then it is even difficult to differentiate the horizon from the sky, making it a puzzle to find out where the ground actually is...

I think allot of it has to do with whether or not the sun actually made it out during the day to warm things up, if not everything is monothermal surface wise, except of course for a hog or a coyote...which often makes them stand out even more, although range will be limited.

That LDI DBAL A3H is a restricted laser IIIb, it would be worthless for any type of night hunting anyhow, you are much better off with a civilian legal 0.7mW IR laser, in fact even better is to install an LDI Neutral Density Filter over the IR laser to lower it down to about 0.1mW for pinpoint...
In order to have the entire T-75 thermal optic with the digital icons present, you need to keep it at 4X or below. With your 6X ACOG you will not be able to see any of the icons, however it will still work just great. The mount height of the ACOG will match the T-75 perfectly.

I am using the 1.5-6X-42mm Elcan on my 7.62mms.....it is a great optic, especially with the T-75 as you can get a WFOV using the lower magnification of the Elcan.
You can certainly use it as a standalone thermal scope at 1X, 2X, or 4X digital magnification with either the 5.56mm NATO or 7.62mm NATO digital BDC reticules in it, but like you said you'd be looking at a squared off microbolometer image through the T-75 ocular as you would on other thermal...
