    Howa 1500 Barreled Action - 6.5 Creedmoor - 24 Inch - Heavy #6 - Threaded

Thanks for that. Didn't realize they had a pre-fit Howa. I was afraid that Pac-Nor was my only option for Howa when I want to go custom. BTW, I couldn't find on Criterion's site what the rifling is - 5R?

    Howa 1500 Barreled Action - 6.5 Creedmoor - 24 Inch - Heavy #6 - Threaded

I couldn't help it. Brownells dropped the price of the Howa barreled action to $387. Since I've already got the original stock and Howa furniture from the .308 I moved to an MDT LSS, my resistance was next to nothing. My logic was, here's this perfectly good stock, scope rail, bottom medal...

    Forster Micrometer Seating Die Issue

Very interesting. The new style looks like it would be better for VLD. Thanks.

    Forster Micrometer Seating Die Issue

Have you tried this? Completely disassemble the die (make a note of the existing positions of the die body, seating stem rod, and micrometer if you have one). See if a bullet in question easily passes through the chamber die bore from the stem rod side. On my .308 seater, the Nosler Custom...

    Forster Micrometer Seating Die Issue

    Cool. Looks nice.

    Forster Micrometer Seating Die Issue

Interesting. I can see how shorter bullets might bring the stem out of the chamber bore, but to accommodate a longer bullet I would think the stem would be going up farther into the protective bore. What bullet are you seating?

Super Nano Detergent bore cleaner - anyone else try it?

I didn't know where else to post this. There's no "rifle cleaning" forum. Sometime ago, I picked this up on a whim, Super Nano Detergent Bore Cleaner, made in the Czech Republic. It's a clear liquid, seemingly odorless, and it certainly appears to have done an excellent job cleaning my .308...

    Forster Micrometer Seating Die Issue

Very confusing. I've had my Forster BR seater for several years and have loaded at least two thousand rounds with it. Zero problems and awesomely low runout. Since I hadn't cleaned the die in ages, I decided to pull it apart, clean, and oil it. No cracks, no mushrooming. Either Redding has...

Rifle Scopes SightMark Citadel 5-30x56 LR2 Riflescope SM13040LR2: a running review

FYI, I will try to get back to the range tomorrow or Friday to do some more testing. The phone/scope adapter came in and will hopefully work for getting some pictures through the scope. In addition, I loaded up some more Nosler Custom Competition 175 gr cartridges to continue. I'm using the...

Rifle Scopes SightMark Citadel 5-30x56 LR2 Riflescope SM13040LR2: a running review

I finally set up a YouTube account to post the video of the turret rotation and clicks as requested. Enjoy.

    Jagemann .308 unprimed cases

Anyone got any experience with Jagemann cases? https://www.natchezss.com/jagemann-unprimed-brass-rifle-cartridge-cases-308-win-50-ct.html The price is right and they've got a couple of good reviews. Never seen them before myself.

    Spine Injury’s

Sadly, I know that now. Who woulda thought old farts can't do young guy stuff without breaking. :( On the bright side, I feel that once I see some long time repair I can start doing some crunches on the inversion table. Thanks.

    Spine Injury’s

Thanks for the advice. +1 on the pull rope for the release pin. I've been meaning to do that. BTW, doing extreme crunches on an AbLounge is what finally whacked out my vertebrae and sciatic nerve. Suddenly, one Monday afternoon I couldn't do 5 minutes on the treadmill at 2.6 MPH without intense...

    Spine Injury’s

I've got an inversion table too. What is your regimen? I've been getting mixed results. Sometimes when I get off, I feel great. Sometimes, I feel worse.

Would you buy this Brass: Pulled M118LR?

Great tips. Thanks. Didn't know about such deals on the Lapua online store.

    Spine Injury’s

My sympathies. I've got an L4/L5 to S1 problem myself. My doc recommended books by Robin McKenzie and physical therapy. Just on a whim and a recommendation I had a top neurosurgeon give me a 2nd opinion on my MRI. He concurred, so I'm back to following the exercises in the Back Pain Book. I...

    Drag bag/Shooting mat

That's what I love about this site. Great advice. Some things I didn't quite think through. I believe I'll keep my two Midway shooting mats (regular and premium) and stick to a case for the rifle and gear. Thanks.

Would you buy this Brass: Pulled M118LR?

I would do it if I didn't already have at least 500 pieces of LCLR already. Can't beat the price for primed, new cases. Practice with them, then get serious with the once-fired in your own rifle. I bought most of mine once fired, when meant I couldn't do any serious prep on them until I fired...

    Drag bag/Shooting mat

That's the one that has been on my wishlist at Amazon for quite a while. I haven't found anything else like it.

Rifle Scopes SightMark Citadel 5-30x56 LR2 Riflescope SM13040LR2: a running review

BTW, I have ordered what appears to be a suitable scope/phone photo adapter and I do have an excellent printout of the 1951 USAF resolution target, so I quite possibly may be able to upload some through the scope pictures later in the week.
