    Thanks much. each number, according to the book is 1 degree of "droop" and looks like you can do up to 15 degrees with 0 being marked as "comfort"... So I assume that means if the requested temp is more than x degree's higher than what its at, it will kick on the "backup heat" as Honeywell...

    Thats how you operate boots... You inflate the boots and it breaks all the ice then you turn them off and wait... Then you inflate them again to break off the ice. rinse and repeat. I dont know if that aircraft has an automated system on a time or whatever and the boots cycle every 60 seconds...

    As was said the mirrors concentrate the light on a tower that collects the heat energy and transfers it into salt(which becomes molten). That heat is then transferred into water which turns steam turbines. Its hot enough that the salt stays molten all night and continues to turn the steam...

    There are 3 or 4 of them out there. I actually thought they were running and at least mildly successful... The technology behind it seem pretty ingenious, but I guess its not as efficient as they thought it would be.

    Guy on another forum with a very similar setup says my current protrusion is fine and will clear the cover I am looking at. I still think I am going to swap to the slightly shorter stud and have about .100 protrusion.

    How much does this range cost you? If its like 50 or 100 a year then yea I could see volunteer work as being part of the club... If its 500-750-1000 they can pound sand. Local range to me is I think its $750 or 800 now per year with a family add on being $100 extra... I show up and shoot...
