The "a chassis should not need to be bedded" myth........

Fully agree with you, everything matters. Tiny variations change results, which echos my original assumption/point of composite stocks and alu stocks achieve the same torque rating, but at different points of angular rotation. If i get a chance, ill try to grab a spare bit of billet and video...

The "a chassis should not need to be bedded" myth........

Glad someone brought up pillars. The "squish" I commented on is not an actual rubbery take-up feeling, its the receiver and interface (bedding, chassis, whatever) finding its natural point of rest. As you tighten things down, they do have a very small settling in period. I agree with you that...

The "a chassis should not need to be bedded" myth........

Target demographic. Basically a business decision. Many people want a true drop in solution, and dont want too many options to confuse them. Most (60%+) of customer base want a drop in, no fuss, "go and shoot" solution. 30% want want options, and are happy to tweak as require to get what...

The "a chassis should not need to be bedded" myth........

They are ready for competition out of the box. Are you ? Perhaps tell Satterlee he needs to bed his rifle to win.

The "a chassis should not need to be bedded" myth........

Chassis can benefit from bedding. This isnt some weird space magic. The action inlet on many chassis is "generic" and not specifically cut for brand X, the way foundation or others are. Chassis have minimum compression on torque of action, composite stocks do have a tiny bit of compression...

    Trump is anti-gun.

I have no skin in this game, im aussie. I believe trump said he got taken advantage of in deals, or scammed in business deal ? Any business owner or ceo director has probably had shitty deals over their career. You get better with age. With trump and covid, he would have been acting on the...

Gunsmithing Chambering on a 5-axis VMC

Not worth it, with consumer production equipment. Its why we have specialist rifling machines, and no one uses "production" machines. Can a 4 mill rifle a barrel ? Probably yes. Is it sensible ? No way. Can a chamber be cut with a single point boring bar ? Corse it can, however we get...
