Recommended triggers for a Rem 700

Thanks for the replies. My rifle has the older trigger and I didn't realize it was user adjustable (rectal-cranial inversion). I found a pretty straight forward tutorial so I'm going to give it a go and see how I like the results. If it doesn't tweak to my liking, then I'll move on an...

Stock Options for Remington 700 SA.

Looks like the trigger upgrade will be first, then perhaps a quality bipod (still haven't made my mind up on that one). I know the major stock players are, AICS, McMillian, B&C, HS Precision, McRees Precision, Manners and Choate Machine. Are there any others that I'm missing. I'd also...

Recommended triggers for a Rem 700

Seems there are quite a few to choose from. Jewel, Timney, Rifle Basix, Huber Concepts and Jard is what I found in a search. What do y'all like and why? Paul

Prioritizing upgrades for my 700 in 6.5 CM or should I put the $$ toward another system?

If I could find some I would. No powder right now in this craziness. Hey, the trigger may be a good idea. I've been thinking about a Harris. If I could find one with a set of Pod Claws installed, I'd jump on it if the price was right.

How many rifles to you have with bipods attached?

And which bipod? Or do you swap one around from rifle to rifle? Paul

Prioritizing upgrades for my 700 in 6.5 CM or should I put the $$ toward another system?

I have a 700 Remington SA RH in 6.5 Creedmoor that is professionally bedded into an HS Precision 5R take off stock. Glass is a Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x50 (though the scope pictured is an older Viper). The rifle is accurate, shooting in the mid .4" with what it likes, (below are some load...

Rifle Scopes Which to keep, Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x50 or Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50?

That was kinda my thinking. I don't mind mismatched turrets with the reticle in the second focal plane. I just adjust magnification accordingly and run it as an MOA scope. The vortex warranty is rock solid but I'm going to keep the Bushy.

Poll (this time with an actual poll). Dedicated Airgun Forum (yes or no)

Guys, just to clarify, this thread has nothing to do with Air Soft rifles. This poll is with regard to air powered rifles firing lead pellets only. Paul

Rifle Scopes Which to keep, Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x50 or Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50?

Both have Mildot reticles with MOA turrets. The bushnell may have the edge on clarity, barely. I need to part with one. Which would you keep and why?

You're most welcome friend. Just select the option as part of the post and it'll set up the poll at the end. Maybe we'll get the green light.

How to determine if a powder is suitable for a particular caliber?

Thanks. I'll make a note. Powder is scarce around here.

How to determine if a powder is suitable for a particular caliber?

Thank you. I love the 6.5 CM but with Hornady publishing the load data on the box, I think that it's led to less experimentation compared to similar such as the 6.5x47 or .260 (I may be wrong but it sure seems that way). I've dug around and have found 1/2 dozen or so suitable powders that I...

Poll (this time with an actual poll). Dedicated Airgun Forum (yes or no)

Nope. I guess there could be some confusion but to me airsoft is a whole different animal. Same with paintball. Airguns firing lead pellets is what I'm talking about.

Are Air rifles the pacifier or alternative to ammo availability & cost?

Yep. Or a fitness forum. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that more Hide members are shooting Airguns regularly than are working out regularly. Not to say that the Fitness Forum is not warranted (I've got 60 lbs that say I need to be reading/participating), but I think an air gun forum...

Are Air rifles the pacifier or alternative to ammo availability & cost?

Not everyone sees the value in precision air gunning and others have yet to discover it. They are expensive but have a lot going for them. Superb Accuracy Inexpensive Match Ammo (500 rounds $13) Quiet Practice anywhere More hunting opportunities because of increased safety margin...
