New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I agree with what Yondering said also and since you have the caliber already, and don't want to switch then I say go for it. I have a 12.5" grendel and it's amazing. I also have a 16" 6.5 for the MDR to keep it a short hunting rig, but also have a 12" 358 Winchester on my AR10 just to have a...
I don't have any real world data, but if I were building a 14" AR10, i'd go with a 308 Win, 338 federal or even 358 Winchester. I think the 6.5 would be good if most of your shots are 200+ yards and you need it to shoot flat.
first report I've seen on the ATACR not being as bright. That turns me off on picking one up if that's true. Does anyone else observe the same thing comparing the 2 back to back? I only care about the brightness at 1x.
ok thanks. That appeared to just adjust how much sear engagement there was when I did it but maybe that's the main way to control the pull weight as well.
I've read various reviews on the MRAD stating a pull weight adjustable trigger. I checked mine out and the 2 screws I saw adjusted pre travel (reduce creep) and over travel. I didn't see anything to adjust pull weight.
I sent you an email as well CBM as I had my first stuck case after over 100 rounds and my trigger has failed to reset multiple times if I release the trigger slowly. This just started happening on my last range visit.
I like it so far. If you can forget all the hype from 2+ years ago, you'll have a better chance of liking it. Everyone expected it to have an amazing trigger like the SRS. It's far from that, but it's not as crappy as the other bull pup semi-autos. My Dad's RDB trigger was nicer though. Mine...
I gotcha. I haven't shot it extensively enough to make a review and probably won't as people are ferocious on that forum. I'm still running it on adverse to break it in as it doesn't always fully cycle with my 308 remanufactured pulled loads while in the normal setting. I'm one of the many...
My opinion, If 1x is all you care about then Razor will probably be your favorite since it has a massive FOV. The ATACR is close but it's over double the price. As Fenix Mike stated above, they all have red dot bright dots. With the Razor being SFP, the dot doesn't dim at all when your eye...
Following up on the post regarding why a short scope is good, I can’t think of another scope that is greater than 1-4x that I could fit my armasight co-mini on the MDR.
Another benefit of this setup is it balances good enough with a suppressor and full magazine on it. There is no way a 16+” AR...
It’s definitely a tighter eye box than the usual large eye box scopes but it’s so small and light that I’m willing to make that sacrifice. I figure if I’m shooting it on the mdr at 6x-8x I’m in a well supported position so while it’s nice to have a big eyebox it’s not a deal breaker for me. When...
I don’t have one but when you turn it back to zero you probably shouldn’t feel any clicks at least this is how it is on all the scopes I’ve messed with. If you’re feeling/hearing clicks then it’s adjusting the scope.
Eyebox is still smaller at 1x. Again this is to be expected based on the size of the scope. Go with the ATACR if you want something similar to the Razor.
