    Gunsmithing .243 barrel with .236 bore?

    I run 105 hornady hpbts in my 6x47 down a 26" three groove with H4350, Measuring case head expansion my cases didn't start to stretch till I hit 3160-3170. In my gun I hit a node at 3120 and one at 3000. Been running it at 3000 lately, Took a pd with her at 1013yd Saturday;)

    I have really liked the Hornady 105hpbt. Had good conditions the other day and shot at 1300Yd, It was holding 5or6in out there!! I run them with H4350, My 26Lilja will run them up to 3170 without stretching brass but I hold them down at 3000fps. Should be putting up some one mile pics here some...

    yea that will tell alot, if you want to get closer to flesh without gelatin, bundle a bunch of phone books together and soak them for a day, then pull them out and shoot. I was told it was more realistic than water... But whatever you do will be great, just want to see what you find! Thanks!

    even number of grooves, the lands oppose eachother. Odd number the lands oppose a groove. I have heard that a odd number causes less bullet deformation than even number(made sense to me). I tried a 3 groove for my 6x47Lapua and have had great results but i cant say anything bad about the 4s and...

    I have been very disapointed with the last few new remingtons I have seen. I asked a friend about this and he told me that one of the head so and so's from Remington told him that they were happy if their rifles shot 2MOA out of the box!!!!! yea that good..........

    Rifle Scopes Best tracking reliable scope for $1000-$1500

    I am sure enjoying the first focal plane, and I really like mil rad. high speed turrets. This puts nightforce out, their F1 is ove 2k. My choice would be between the SWFA 5-20 and the Bushnell hdmr. However I think the SWFA is more scope for the money. good luck!

    I Really Like Dans barrels, Ive been around alot of them. This one is a 3 groove #3 contour, shot 1.08 group at at 500yd. Killed a coyote at 700 yards with it just thismorning!

    Rebarreled my trued 700 action last fall to a lilja 1:8 6x47Lapua, Its sitting in a McMillan stock I altered to fit me and now has a SWFA 5-20 which I LOVE! Here it is with its first kill last fall, a 680yd Montana yote.

    You do realize that your reticle is the same size on target no matter what the power(first focal plane) it looks bigger but it covers the same amount of target. I was just laying in my ward trying to peel a crow off a rock at 1260yd with my SWFA on 20x having no problems with reticle thicknes...

    I have just found them to be finicky and usualyl not on with the numbers. I had one that I could not get the parallax to straiten out past 300yd, had to send it in.

    I was thinking about trying a Burris E1 4.5-14x42 for a inexpensive varmint scope, but I have had trouble with other scopes that had the parallax adjustment on the objective end. I have found a side parallax more forgiving, thoughts? Anyone used this scope?
