Rifle Scopes is a 75 moa mount too much?

LMAO - Now to cleanup the coffee.... Best answer of the month!

    Lab Radar or Magneto Speed?

Ditto on the Magnetospeed. I do just the opposite, When I run a ladder test, I load 10 of each powder weight. I shoot 5 of each consecutively through the magneto at a single target and record all the data. Then I shoot the other 5 of each loading at individual targets so I can run them...

Finally got some decent weather and a morning off so out to the 1K we went. The Sinclair bipod is NICE. The range sets are scattered side to side up a long hill, so going from 250 to 500 is uphill, as is 500-600, 600-650, 650-750 and at the top is the 1,000. So to run the ladder, you need to...

Folded, yes it does. I don't have an issue with that, I am pretty gentle on my rifles even in the padded bags. When I am hauling more than one, I have a large 2 slot drag bag so they don't get folded.

I DID order through Sinclair, and Brownells shipped it. I finally received a response today. Jodi at Brownells intercepted the messages after they started getting hateful. She shipped on an overnight today, we will see if it gets here tomorrow. The whole point was to have it set up for 1K on...

Lefty! I liked the looks of the Sinclair, so I bit the bullet and ordered one. I ordered the rail adapter block that replaces the stud mount because I did not want to change the mount on my rifles, makes it hard to shoot over a bag or put a bench slide on it for bench rest. Sinclair/Brownells...

What's your favorite caliber for hunting?

For many years, it was the good old reliable Rem 700 in .270. The RPR is taking it's place. The selection of available bullets from 95gr to 143 gr make it as versatile as having 2 guns. For accuracy, it's as good if not better than most of my other rifles. The MLOK front end lets me add...

JRM, With the heavier bullets I tried I have never ran into an issue with being too long for the Mag. I measured the mag and you should be able to load out to 2.870 for a max cartridge overall. None of my loads get close to that even as close as .005 off the rifling. I tried a few other...

Sounds about right, I run 9.9 mrad with my .308 and 175gr SMK. (Out of a 26" Remy at 2700 at the muzzle)

When I am taking only the RPR, I use an AR bag, rifle folded. That would meet your length restriction nicely. I use one from Midway, priced right and good quality. It balances perfectly with my range bag in the other hand!

RANGE REPORT. Made it out to BOTW in Liberty Hill this morning with the RPR 6.5 Gen-II. Scope is Vortex Viper PST 6-24...

I really like the Burris PEPR one piece mount. Easy to remove and store the scope, perfect re-alignment when you put it back on. The (6) screws per cap torqued to 18"# is really easy on the scope tube and the wide rings will never leave a mark on the tube.

I am running Magpul type AC magazines. (On a Gen 2 6.5CM) The single wide cartridge feed lips are very reliable plus the magazine will not hold the bolt open when the magazine is empty. I have 5 round and 10 rounds for bench and hunting, No issues encountered with either. The mags that came...

    BENCH MOUNT for SPOTTING SCOPE

Sorry I did not see your question earlier. I ground a flat spot on the end of a pipe cap, drilled a 3/8" hole through it, cut a flat hard plastic disc out of a stiff plastic box, ran a short 3/8" bolt through the pipe cap from underneath and screwed on the ball head.

Excellent results. In high precision, everything matters, gun, barrel, scope, exact duplicate rounds, shooter, rest, the temperature, the wind, and on and on.... That's what keeps it fun!

I have had about the same lukewarm results from the lighter bullets, the 123SST is the about the worst groups I have seen from my factory barrel, at every speed. The 143gr ELD-X and the Sierra 130gr Gameking do the best.

For those that reload, STARLINE just announced they are now producing 6.5CM brass. I use STARLINE in almost every caliber I shoot, and found the .308 brass to be very hardy, the 6.5 should be just as good.
