New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I'm building a lightweight-ish build using Proof Carbon and XLR Element Magnesium chassis.
- When long range hunting I'll use my HD LHT 4.5-22X50 for hunting.
- When shooting a up to 1.5 miles I'll throw on my S&B PMII or Razor G3 and mount up to 8lbs of weights on the side of the XLR chassis...
Probably not. I ordered my LA in April and just got it 1st week of Nov.
Then I found out the 30 moa rail is too much for my 30mm scope. So going to sell mine and reorder one.
no. High probability that I will not have enough elevation to compensate for the 30 moa rail. For example, currently my HD LHT is on my Sig Cross (0 cant). With a 100yd zero I have 7.4 mils wasted (can dial 15 mils up). I also mounted the same optic on a Tikka T3X this weekend and also...
Glad I found this post. Had planned to share my HD LHT 4.5-22x50 with 2 firearms (1 with 0 moa and the other with 30 moa cant), but I don't have enough internal elevation to get a 100yd zero on the 30moa host. So in the market to get a different scope.
It's a known issue with the Diamond if set too light. If too light it could double tap or fail to reset or go full auto. I experienced double tap AND/OR full auto in my AR10 .308. I've also experienced all 3 in my 6 ARC AR too. You can find these issues mentioned in TT's FAQ. My...
I have no detent spring in so there's always some contact between front face of buffer and rear face of carrier. I took the same type of Armaspec from a different AR and my black works fine. It's a buffer issue.
You are correct. I only use 2 loads and they are 110 Barnes TACTX for my supers and 220 Noslers for my subs. I think I found my problem last night and it is a bent 1st stage spring on my Armaspec. I will confirm this afternoon when I hit the range with another Armaspec Stealth H that I am...
Update: My friend's AR is finally working 100% once he dumped the Armaspecs and JP and bought a BCM H2 and Sprinco spring (white).
Bad news: Now my AR is acting just like his (our AR's are almost identical). We put his lower on my upper with his new BCM H2 and Sprinco and 100% function...
Last weekend when I was shooting I noticed my Xero jump around due to recoil from my gun shaking the bench so I tested something yesterday. There was enough recoil that it would re-orient my Xero a few degrees. I put one Xero on the bench and the other Xero off the bench. Happy to report that...
yes I know. I am one of those sheep that submitted a Form 1 Trust and provided proof of trust ownership. Submitted in mid Feb and Form 1 approved mid May (3 months). A few friends also submitted Form 1 Trusts too (used me as test bait) right before the deadline of May 31st. They are still...
I almost went with an Optika 6 (love the MRAD RD reticle) but it was too heavy for hunting use.
I am currently using Zeiss Conquest V4's (1 for me, 1 on the wife's rifle) and love them for hunting. Will be listing my V4 to fund a V8 soon for a high end hunting build too.
I'm still trying to figure out what the 2nd threaded hole is for. Definitely not the CG point. This is the CG (pic stolen from my buddy Geno @ Carnival Ballistics who is going to drill and tap it).
