New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I have two 7-35’s. I will admit when Nightforce first announced the scope and marketed it towards PRS style shooting I thought Why? 35x on the top end, I thought that’s a waste. Oh how I was wrong. Once I had a chance to actually compare it to my 5-25 ATACR I had to have it. I find parallax and...
I have three match rifles each with different 2 stage triggers. I’m using the Cadex, Calvin Elite and Bix’n Andy TacSport. Of the the three I like the TacSport the best and will eventually swap out the other two. I have the TacSport set up with next to nothing on the first stage and 7oz on the...
I have used both Alpha 22 Creed and Hornady 6 Creed brass in my 22 Creedmoor. The Alpha brass is far more consistent and will last much longer than the Hornady. Also before going small primer route consider what powder you’ll be using. When trying out RL26 I had much better results with large...
I’m going to guess you’re in Australia. If you are I do know someone has contacted him about being a dealer there. And if you need to directly get ahold of Paul PM your contact info I’ll pass it along.
Have you purchased a rail or looking to buy? I can tell you if you purchased a rail, new rails are going into production today. Ingenuity Gunworks purchased a new CNC machine a few weeks ago to bring production in house as previous machine shop had issues with quality and producing rails when...
Are you using RL26 and 95gr SMKs? I had a great load at 3170fps but shot it in a PRS match and had to stop out half way through the 2nd day due to pressure causing primers to pop out of the brass. Cleaned it got it to shoot and in 40 rounds same issue. Borrowed a bore scope and first few inches...
You might also try H4831SC. Also I found a good node around 3170fps with 95gr SMKs using RL26. It shot lights out but I have had issues with RL26 fouling the bore real bad and causing pressure spikes.
I believe so. I have a friend running a 33XC and since brass is not available just yet he plunged his reamer in short and just fire formed 338 Lapua brass so he can shoot it for now. Once the brass shows up he will finish chamber for 33XC. But I’d call David Tubb just to verify.
Off the top of my head I don’t exactly. I will have to ask my friend developing the cutter.
The nose ring came about cause David was looking into how he could make his pointed bullets also work for hunting. While testing the BC of the bullet what he found was the variance from bullet to bullet...
Nose ring does not increase BC as much as it helps reduce the variation from bullet to bullet. Uncut DTACs actually have a higher BC than the cut ones. I have been shooting the nose ring bullets for close to a year now. They are not for sale yet as the tooling to cut these more efficiently is...
Shot mine for first time today. Chambered in 22 Creedmoor, 7 twist Rock Creek, Bix’n Andy TacSport, XLR Envy Heavy, Ingenuity Gunworks rail, and topped off with 7-35 F1. Action is so smooth can’t wait to run it in a match next weekend.
For the heavy bullets I’d try and use something slow like RL26, H1000, or Retumbo. With powders like H4350 or RL16 I think barrel life will suffer even more.
I have both Bix and Andy Sport Tac 2 stage, Cadex 2 stage and a Calvin Elite 2 stage in my comp rifles. The B&A is new to me and just some dryfire and couple range trips on it but it’s very nice. The Sport Tac line is supposed to hold up better to dusty conditions due to it being sealed. Know a...
With NRL22 series gaining in popularity and matches like it I think a CZ455 trigger that can go as low as 1lb would be very popular. I know I’d buy one.
