New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Yeah, I just did a search and found an interesting suggestion from DLO to make sure you don't try to set indoors. You need ~10-15 yards or so to dial it in. I'll try outside again and see if it works better.
My main surprise is that I can get a sharp reticle at 8x and a flat image at 1x, but...
Has anyone found it difficult to adjust the diopter on their PLX-C?
I've tried adjusting for a flat image at 1x and for a sharp reticle at 8x. It seems like no matter what I do I end up with a fuzzy image at 1x(either the image is fuzzy or the reticle, or both).
This is my first FFP LPVO...
Curious if anyone has time behind both of these optics. Similar specs overall (FFP, mil reticle, light-ish weight, swapable elevation turret). Similar street price.
I get it, use the right tool for the job. But you're describing picking from an array of rifles for a specific predetermined purpose. If you have a carbine for multiple uses, or you're going into a blind match, the MPVO + dot covers 0-800 yards.
I'd hazard a guess that any normal looking pair of jeans or slacks with waist sizes starting in 3 don't fit guns like a P365.
I like the idea of pocket carry for office/professional settings, but I've never come across a pair of pants that would allow me to carry anything even as large as a...
I'm having a hard time understanding why someone would fuck up a quality 6920 by putting a piston kit on it.
Leave your Colt alone and buy another rifle.
What is your height over bore with the red dot? 50/178 shouldn't be possible.
A 50 yard zero is more like 50/325 with you being 5-6" high at 200 yards.
Here's a 50 yard zero dope chart for 4.25" height over bore.
If it works for you, great. Just not confident your holdovers are what you...
You sure about that? Pretty sure it's physically impossible with a piggyback red dot, unless your primary optic is mounted so low it isn't useable, or you have a rainbow trajectory. You can have a 50 or 200 zero, but not both.
I have a MRDS mounted 12:00 over a 2.5-10x NXS on my AR.
I've shot a lot of 2gun, DMR, and biathlon events with that rifle.
1) Do you find it is really worth it and help that much? you find yourself "you couldn't live without it" or is it a waste?
I love it. I naturally default to the dot...
If the reticle is indeed patented, then there is no need to obfuscate. That's the point of patents: protecting your IP(especially if it is easily reverse engineered).
Additionally, anyone who seriously wanted to "steal" the data could very easily purchase a scope and measure the sub tensions...
I've done stupid stuff like this just for the sake of running timed drills to quantify differences. Shot a whole steel match(rimfire rifle) with an LPVO, 12:00piggyback, and 45deg offset so I could test back-to-back-back
It sold out in about 5 minutes this year. I'm doing the 10k.
Each race is held on a different day. All stages are blind. Camping on site allowed for a small fee.
