    Rifle Scopes new scope ?'s

Re: new scope ?'s You get what you pay for, especially when it comes to glass. Save your pennies and buy a quality optic the first time round. Look for a used Vortex Razor, Bushnell HDMR, or Super Sniper 5-25. If those are too expensive then look at the 3-12 Bushnell Tactical, Super...

Rifle Scopes Sako Quad scope and mount suggestions?

Re: Sako Quad scope and mount suggestions? I find the 3-21 really handy for shooting at that range. I normally shoot the little shoot-n-see cover dots at 200 yards, and having the magnification really helps. The scope I had on the rifle previously was a 5-25.

    Luminox & bands

Re: Luminox & bands +1 on Maratec watch bands, I get mine at The Watch Prince. http://www.thewatchprince.com/ What I don't recommend is the Luminox watches. I have one and while it's nice and bright, it's had issues with setting the watch/date. I think there are much better watches...

Rifle Scopes Sako Quad scope and mount suggestions?

Re: Sako Quad scope and mount suggestions? I put a Bushnell 3.5-21 on top of mine with the G2DMR reticle. I like it better than the H59 Horus model, but that is an option with the HDMR scope. I mounted mine in a set of "Low" Seekins 34mm rings on the DIP rail that came with my Quad. It's...

    Black Ops Precision, another masterpiece

Re: Black Ops Precision, another masterpiece Great looking rifle, I want a 223 like this in the worst way. Mike did my Rem 700 .260 match rifle and my 5R .308. I'm proud to have two of his masterpieces in my stable, and I couldn't be more pleased with the way they shoot. Mike is good...

Bartlein, Brux, or RockCreek? Cut rifled choice?

Re: Bartlein, Brux, or RockCreek? Cut rifled choice? I have had or currently have the three you have listed, as well as Krieger. I have also had or have a number of button rifled barrels from various manufacturers. That being said, I'm not convinced that rifle cut is better than button...

    About to rebarrel my 700

Re: About to rebarrel my 700 I have had two Shilen barrels, both match select, but neither were .308. One was a .223 Rem, and the other is a 25-06. Both are very good barrels, clean easy, and as accurate as most other high end button rifle barrels. However, I think there are better barrels...

    What pack is everybody running?

Re: What pack is everybody running? +1. I'm using a Gunslinger 2 as my bugout bag. Never leaves the back seat of my truck. I've humped it a few times and it rides nice. Comfortable and easy to access. The other pack that I have and love is my Camelback BFM. Been using it every day on...

    .260 cheap/ bulk/ practice ammo

Re: .260 cheap/ bulk/ practice ammo +1 Greg. Get a 22LR and practice with it! I'm shooting 22LR versions of all my match rifles and pistols these days. I use a .260 Rem for competition, but like you, I can't afford to run it at the range for practice. So instead of dropping several grand...

Rifle Scopes Steiner G2 military scopes

Re: Steiner G2 military scopes It would be nice to see a review of the 5-25. I'm on the fence right now between the Steiner 5-25 and the Kahles 6-24. Can't seem to make up my mind.

Movie Theater Bladerunner - Decker a Replicant???

Re: Bladerunner - Decker a Replicant??? Check out the anniversary 4 disc collection. It has some outstanding interviews with Ridley Scott and the rest of the cast. Scott pretty much spells it out in the final director's cut that Deckard is a replicant. However, Ford states in his interview...

    OMG Combat Pawn!

Re: OMG Combat Pawn! These ass clowns give a bad name to the rest of the gun owning community. I'm surprised they didn't fast rope from a blackhawk into the parking lot and flash bang the show room floor prior to entry. Never know when the janitorial crew may be setting up an ambush for...

Rifle Scopes Liberty Optics has dropped IOR Scopes

Re: Liberty Optics has dropped IOR Scopes I have had three IOR scopes in the past. The only reason I had them was because of Scott, and even as stellar as Scott's service is, IOR could not keep me as a customer. Too many problems combined with a less than stellar attitude towards warranty/...

    Best insulated gear?

Re: Best insulated gear? Depends on what you are doing. I have been using UnderArmor ColdGear for the first layer. A North Face polartec jacket and Cabela's polartec pants for the second layer, and Marmot Windstoper shell or a MilSpec ECWCS Goretex Parka for the outer layer. This was the...

Rifle Scopes Why Does Everyone hate Leupy Mark 4's So Much

Re: Why Does Everyone hate Leupy Mark 4's So Much My first high end optic was a Mark IV 3-10 40mm. It did't track all that well, and considering how much it cost me, I thought the glass was real average. About the same time I bought a Nikon Tactical 2.5-10 44mm. The Nikon was at least as...

Rifle Scopes Savage Mark II FV-SR .. which scope and bipod?

Re: Savage Mark II FV-SR .. which scope and bipod? Try one of the Falcon 4-14 or 5-25 FFP Mil/Mil scopes. They work very nice on a 22LR trainer. I just sold my 5-25 Falcon to my buddy for his 22LR. They pop up in the optics for sale section frequently. One of the new fixed power Super...

MOA at 100 yards is it possible with a 22lr?

Re: MOA at 100 yards is it possible with a 22lr? If you buy a cheap Savage and it shoots well, you still have a cheap Savage that shoots well. We have been reduced to channeling Yogi Berra on this thread. Well that's it for me, I'm out here.
