    Hunting & Fishing Deer hunters

Those are some good lookin bucks! Archery season opened sat out here but its been in the 100s and I haven't been much into bow hunting lately. I found a couple promising new spots early summer for rifle season. Really excited for a private land whitetail hunt in Oregon this October too...

    Anyone shoot 175gr RDFs still?

I have been working on a load combo with 2000mr for my ctr. If I can remember I'm getting around 2720fps with lc brass, fed match primers and max load at 47.7. Zero signs of pressure and very consistent hits so far out to 700-1000 (My range finder was having some issues). I'm playing with...

    Walk-in Reloading Closet

I dig it a lot! I did the same thing with my little pantry. Utilizing every bit in small house/living space takes some creativity. Luckily my wife came up with this idea. My garage is more of a metal fab shop so that wasn't an option at all.

Hunting & Fishing what garmin are you using for hunting

I've ran the montana with onX for years but lately I have been just using onX on my phone (Samsung) . Using the phone is a lot smoother, better battery life, better visibility and is less bulky. The montana is rugged but I feel it's quite outdated. Whatever you choose onX is an absolute must.

    Nosler RDF Accuracy ???

So far the 175s with 2000mr have been shooting well in my tikka. Haven't shot at less than 500 with em yet but have been doing what I need out to 900ish. I can't remember what my last set was jumping. I'll recheck em next time I'm in the reloading room.

    Fieldcraft Entrenching tool

I agree with sid. I've used and carried the German surplus one for a few years now. I do a lot of gold prospecting and have beat the hell out of it. The pick on it comes in handy too. If you need an absolute work horse it fits the bill. No it's not light and it's not very high tech tacticool...

Member Link Up Sac. area shooting resource recommendations

OnX is a really good resource for sure. In the d3-5 zone it can turn into a bit of a zoo during rifle season. The best way is to just get out and start exploring then pick a few different areas. It's not impossible to get away from other hunters especially if you hike away from major roads and...

    Sac. area shooting resource recommendations

Does anyone from the Sacramento/nor cal area have any recommendations for stores, smiths and ranges (other than sac valley)? I know we are kind of a niche market for the shooting sports, but it would be nice to have shop I can go and put my hands on...

    Anyone shoot 175gr RDFs still?

Im over the heat here, we just had a few days in a row over 104. 93 today is almost enjoyable for our normal summer temps over 100. I'd shovel some snow if I didn't have to work in this shit anymore

    Anyone shoot 175gr RDFs still?

Sounds good to me. I'll be loading for my ctr 1-11 so that's a plus and jump tolerance is also a plus. I guess I'll just have to get some and see if I can find a combo that'll do what I need it to. Does anyone have thoughts on or against trying it with 2000mr?

    Anyone shoot 175gr RDFs still?

Just wondering if anyone still uses em? Did some searching but the threads were older. I was going to try the berger hybrid target 185s but RDFs are half the price. I have some already loaded from a member and was thinking about working a load up with 2000mr vs the 43gr of 4064 loaded. What's...

Rifle Scopes Having some viper hst issues

Mine weren't set at perfect zero, but after I dialed back they were way past my previous stop. Shim style stops won't ever be at perfect zero, at least all of em I've seen. I changed to a 20moa rail so I just started from scratch. Tried multiple times to get the right combo of diopter and...
