New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Order up a Bartlein in the Win featherweight option. Sure its carbon steel so what? Just paint it good or spray it with clear paint or both. Finish it at 23". Get a Mcmilan edge stock and your ready to go. Maybe even a old 700 ADL stock off of ebay. Dril out the butt and the forend. Put a...
Flatland1 Just switch stocks. They are interchangable and no serialized number. Put the American you didn't shoot into the wone that not shooting well and see how it does.
Just checked them out. Get the service rifle gain twist Bartlein............sexy! Seriously a Wilson blank should do just find for what your wanting. No real need to pay the cut barreled price. Good luck
HMR is LOUD and she would need muffs for sure. Just normal sub sonic .22 HP will do the trick. For a newbie I would go with the simplicity of a bolt gun. Hard to beat the CZ line of bolt guns.

Hammer forged barrels will wander all over the target when hot compared to the cooler first shots. That has been my experience. One reason you see no hammer forged barrels at any match being used by serious shooters. Maybe they were testing that theory out.
Years ago Sako used Lothar Walter...
Remember Nixon beat JFK. JFK won through massive vote fraud in Chicago that gave him the state of Illinois and the UMW in West Virginia threw it to him also. Vietnam would have never happened under Nixon. Think about that.
Get a CZ 457 American in .22 mag. The long 24.8 inch barrel is quiet and it's a 150 yard rifle. Another option is the CZ Jaguar .22LR. It has a 28" barrel and you could use CCI Velocitors. Should be good to 120 yards. Both are much more quiet than any centerfire and either should do the trick...
Oh don't let us put a damper on your rifle. Go on and build it. Should be fun and a blast at the range! Oh and it should make your guides eyebrows shoot up a bit too when you show it to him.
