This happened to be new brass but it happens on bumped brass also. When you saw it on your brass did it have the "drag" mark next to the ejector do you remember?

I'm not sure off hand what the velocity of the 41 gr. charge was (I can check my data book) but I settled on 41.3 gr. which was 2775.

Hey guys, I just bought a short action AX about a month ago and every round I have fired through it seems to have ejector marks, even factory ammo. Have any of you guys seen this before? Here is a case from today that was a pretty "mild" load. 41 grains of H4350 with a 140 ELD. Like I said...

RRS Anvil 30 and Leofoto 364c

I am wondering this also. I can't quite swing the RRS setup right now and the Leofoto looks like a good option as long as the Anvil will work with it. I know that the Anvil will mount to the 3/8" stud but that is not the best option imho. I am really interested if someone has adapted the Leofoto...

    140 ELD-M vs 140 Hybrid

I agree with everyone so far. I had a trued 700 action, and to keep hybrids mag length (just barely) I was jumping them 60 to 70 thou. They shot pretty well, but the ELDs I could seat 20 thou off and they shot lights out. Also, I can go to my local dealer and get as many as I want for less money...

    6.5Creedmoor/H4831SC

I was using 4831SC and 147 ELD's with great results. I had a 26" Criterion barrel 7.5 twist and with 45.6 grains I was getting 2810 FPS. It was right on the verge of pressure so after a bit I backed down to 44.7 and got 2787 FPS. Very accurate load for my barrel. I never experimented with magnum...

Dont update Kestrel 5700 to firmware 1.17!!!!

I emailed Kestrel on Friday and they told me that they pulled the update because of the issues some people were having. They said the next release will be 1.18. They didn't give a timeline, they just said they would release it as soon as it was ready.

Gunsmithing Gunsmith in the Boston area

Re: Gunsmith in the Boston area Well it took me longer than I thought to get my gun to Mike, but I just got it back from him. He had it done in no time, did a great job bedding the action, and even painted the bedding OD so it matched the rest of my stock. I can't say enough about Mike...

Gunsmithing Gunsmith in the Boston area

Hey everyone, I'm new here but just wanted to ask for some advice / info. I have a 700 action that I want to have bedded in my new McMillan A5 stock. Does anyone know of a good gunsmith in the Boston'ish area that can do this? I am considering sending everything to GA precision, but would...
