    Looking to buy a new scope for my long range rifle. I'm down to 2. Leupy mk5 5-25 with non illuminated tmr, or vortex 4.5-27 with ebr 7c. I like a simpler reticle, and am a fan of the tmr. I'm also a big fan of vortex products. Price is within $100 and not a concern. Any input?

    Broughton or Bartlein?

    I'm a bartlein fanboy. I love their 5R gain twist barrels. Clean up so nice and seem to be fast too. Scare the hell out of 2970 FPS with 8208 under a 155 scenar out of one of their 22 inch barrels.

    Remington 700 5r 300 win mag

    I have an older 700 PSS in .300 mag. Bedded it into the HS stock and it shoots Black hills 190 grain match kings sub MOA at 200 if I do my part. Hitting steel at 800 is boringly simple.

    It may well not be. I'll admit to not having any experience with the VX-5. I'm somewhat of a vortex fanboy, but own plenty of older leupys that have all served me well. Hope they keep the weight down on this.
