Nucleus owners/holders: mausingfield comparison and CRF issues

Well, they must be ignoring their website and email contacts. I'll try calling.

Day Sixteen. Seven (now eight) attempts at contact. Not one word from ARC.

Mine shipped the next morning. It may just be a matter of how quickly your FFL sends their info to ARC.

Has anyone asked ARC about this and gotten a response? I'm on day 12 of nothing but silence.

The Barloc does make barrel installation way easier than with a normal savage barrel nut. And you don't need a barrel vice, action wrench, or barrel nut wench.

No failures at all. Just doesn't feed exactly as expected. I've emailed ARC with the videos and an explanation of what's happening, haven't heard back yet.

Thanks, that's good to know. I won't be messing with them, then.

My Nucleus in a KRG Bravo is not controlled round feeding with either MagPul or Accurate Mags. I tried trimming the feed lips back on one of my MagPul mags. It gets the round to pop up sooner, but the extractor still doesn't grab the case rim until the bolt face is almost flush with the front...

I just tried it. You're right. If I pull it back immediately after the round leaves the magazine, the extractor doesn't grab onto the case. But if I push it far enough forward that the bolt face comes flush with the forward inside edge of the ejection port (but not fully into battery), it will...

Shit, sorry. They were set for private. I changed them to public so they should work now.

EDIT: IT STILL DOES NOT ACTUALLY CONTROLLED ROUND FEED. Tried trimming the feedlips on a MagPul 5 round AICS mag. Looks bubba as fuck, but damn, did it work. This is with 6.5 Creedmoor. Previously, my rounds would push feed unless I was running the action fast. Now it controlled round feeds no...

My bolt stop was the same. Couldn't get it to turn without damn near breaking my fingertips off. Sometimes I couldn't get it past the detent at all. Take a T25 torx driver to the left hand side of the bolt catch and use it to actuate it past the detent a few dozen times (more like a hundred). It...

My 6.5CM controlled round feeds when I run the action fast with both Magpul and Accurate mags with the 140 ELD-Ms. Haven't gotten around to modifying feed lips yet, but I will try it and report back.

Yep, 0.97". Could probably go down to the .87" rings, but the plan is to get some ARC rings when I get enough pennies for a Cronus. It's an X-Caliber 6.5 creedmoor Savage Bull contour prefit.

Looks like I'm gonna be bubba fucking my magazines now. Sweet.

    THINK ABOUT IT

That sounds awesome. Any matches within a half day's driving distance of North Dakota?

    Nucleus Orders

Probably not, though my scope may need to be removed due to the low rings. Your mileage may vary. This is the wild ass guess of an amateur, but wouldn't doing that without removing the action mean the recoil lug isn't properly seated? I'm not sure. It's only two screws, so I'd probably take it...

Mine is nice and smooth, but if you don't have the bolt stop turned all the way forward, it will grab onto the bolt while cycling. Maybe that was happening?

As soon as I get mine I'll let you know.
