Rifle Scopes Steiner P4xi scope mount options?

My P4Xi resides in Steiner T-Series rings that were a promo item with the scope when I picked it up. They are a pretty decent set of rings. If not the T-Series, I would’ve probably gone with Seekins or Badger for the P4Xi. With that said, everything else has a Spuhr ISMS cradling it. I certainly...

    Rifle Scopes Steiner M7Xi 4-28x56

The M7Xi’s optical package is at minimum, a full step above the M5Xi. Steiner knocked it out of the park with this one. Not only is resolution excellent from edge to edge, contrast, color, and depth of field across the entire field of view are quite impressive aswell. The only time I’ve seen any...

    Rifle Scopes Steiner M7Xi 4-28x56

Take this for what it’s worth because they are just my personal observations/opinions. I am not an optical engineer nor am I an expert in optics. I do not have the resolution charts to test optics nor do I really care to use them. I’d rather take the optics out into practical scenarios and see...

Rifle Scopes Quick throw Lever for Nightforce SHV?

Google your thread title, they show up everywhere. I have the Nightforce ATACR PTL on my 4-14 SHV. Works great.

    Rifle Scopes Steiner M7Xi 4-28x56

I suspect the market that the M7Xi is geared toward is far more likely to use 28x than they are to use 4x. The slight amount of tunneling the M7Xi exhibits below 5x will rarely be noticed if at all in a practical scenario. I chose it with the intention of hard use on magnum rifles for ELR work...

    Rifle Scopes Steiner M7Xi 4-28x56

The first time I picked up and looked through it I did not notice the tunneling. Upon further viewing I did notice a slight tunneling from 4x-5x like you mention. Not significant enough that it makes 4x feel completely useless like other optics though. The eyebox, FOV, and edge to edge clarity...

Rifle Scopes Steiner M5Xi vs Vortex Razor

At $1,600 I would’ve gone for the M5Xi 3-15 aswell, as long as it had the MSR reticle. I have both M5Xi 5-25 MSR2 and Razor 4.5-27 EBR-2C. Both are great scopes and have excellent features which are very different between the two manufacturers. The turrets between both scopes are pretty good...

    Rifle Scopes Steiner T5xi 5x25

The T5Xi 5-25 would be a great scope for your needs. That’s a great price for a 5-25 if it’s brand new. I picked up two blemished from CS Tactical within the last two years. One had a problem right out of the box with the second rev indicator binding under the cap. Sent it back to Steiner under...

Rifle Scopes Steiner P4Xi 4-16x56 - SCR Riflescope

The T5Xi sun shade will thread into the M5Xi/M7Xi. Please reference my last post for corrected information.

Rifle Scopes Steiner P4Xi 4-16x56 - SCR Riflescope

M5Xi/M7Xi 56mm obj. appears to be the same thread pitch as the T5Xi/P4Xi 56 mm obj. The T5Xi sun shade threads right into my M5Xi and M7Xi. The M7Xi & M5Xi both have a smaller objective bell O.D. so the T5Xi sun shade looks to be about the same amout larger than the M5Xi/M7Xi as it does look...

Rifle Scopes Steiner P4Xi 4-16x56 - SCR Riflescope

The sun shade from my T5Xi 5-25x56 threads into my P4Xi 4-16x56 just fine. Been using it this way for 2 months.

Rifle Scopes Steiner P4Xi 4-16x56 - SCR Riflescope

@Dantrom That’s correct. It looks weird but it does the job. Fortunately, I had a T5Xi so I just tried it for shits and grins and it worked. I’ll try to post a picture of it when I get back to the rifle tomorrow.

Rifle Scopes Steiner P4Xi 4-16x56 - SCR Riflescope

The sun shade for the T5Xi 5-25 threads right into the P4Xi 4-16 but has a smaller O.D. then the P4Xi objective bell O.D. It looks funky as hell but it does work in a pinch. Also allows for Tenebreax cover on the objective end.

    Rifle Scopes Steiner P4xi 4-16

@WB300 My P4Xi is set up the same way on a 308 of mine and I’ve been having excellent results. It has been more than enough scope for this rifle shooting out to 1,140 yards. For the price, I’ll probably snag another one if this one continues to impress me the way it has been.

    Rifle Scopes Steiner P4xi 4-16

With the P4Xi, the zero stop will always be .5 below zero, no matter where in the erector travel you set it. That is unless your zero happens to be less than .5 from the absolute bottom end of travel from using too much inclination in the mounting system.

    Rifle Scopes Steiner M7Xi 4-28x56

The two in Coyote Brown with MSR2 that I had on order came in this past Friday. I have had just enough time to pull them out of their boxes, give them both a quick feel of the hand and gather a few short glimpses of different terrain at varying distances through them. I do not have either...

Rifle Scopes Ruger RPR 308 New Shooter Build

Another option is the Steiner P4Xi 4-16x56 with Steiner ring promo from DSG Arms for $1,000 or under. (create an account, you’ll get a discount) While it doesn’t have the top end magnification as some of the others that have been mentioned, it is an excellent optic for 1,000 yard and low light...
