New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I use Ballistic AE as well. As long as I have a solid MV avg and make the right wind calls downrange it has been spot on to 1,600 yds. I've used iSnipe in the past and while it requires much less input than Ballistic AE, I did have decent results with it to 1,000 yds. I prefer Ballistic AE. It...
Snap-On click-type torque wrench is the way to go imo. I certainly don't have the experience of some but I have been a Diesel Truck/Heavy Equipment technician for the last 14 years. I have purchased and used mainly Snap-On tools from the beginning with a little Matco here and there. Matco is...
I have run 4,000 rounds of the PPU 75gr Match through my 16" 1/7 twist Colt M4 and it absolutely loves them. 1/2 MOA and better from my rifle. I have not had a single misfire either. At $0.48 per round and with how well it groups and performs from 100 to 600 yards I cannot justify using anything...
I use Applied Ballistics Munnitions. They currently offer both the 215 and 230 Bergers for the WM loaded to 3.600 coal. Both perform extremely well in my 22" 10 twist Lilja. No need to hand load for this rifle anymore.
If your NPA is above the target before you break the shot, that could be your entire problem. Breaking at the bottom of your breathing cycle will greatly increase consistency. I recommend changing that part of your technique for starters. By not applying a straight, rearward pressure into the...
A magnum will certainly exploit any weakness in your recoil management technique. A muzzle brake will only reduce the effect. Not sure what techiniques you use but these are important ones to think about. Do you check NPA? Are you pulling the rifle into your shoulder pocket before loading the...
I recommend for you to go with whichever system you are most comfortable with. To me, milradian is a more simple system and what I prefer. All of my scopes are Mrad. The adjustments are more course which can be either good or bad depending on how you look it or what you plan to use it for...
I definitely wasn't complaining about the weight either. Only time I noticed it was when I first pulled it out of the box but after it was on the rifle I haven't noticed it at all. I prefer a heavier optic most of the time.
Just as others have said, the 3-18 is flat out amazing. Features per dollar with their warranty are impossible to beat in my opinion. It is built like a tank and is a little on the heavy side but not bad at all. Glass is exceptional. Turrets are very positive, audible, and tracks perfectly. Rev...
Thank you for posting this picture and your description. Very sexual. I know pictures don't do it justice just as the Sage Green is so confusing as it looks completely different dependent upon the background in the pictures. That picture of Elite Sand looks so much better outside in the sunlight...
We are DEFINITELY going to need more pictures of this gorgeous AX in its natural habitat. I am on the fence between Sage Green and Elite Sand. Only pictures of the Elite Sand I can find are of the AX50 from Shot Show under artificial light. I am on the waiting list for the LH AXMC so I have a...
+1 for the Fusion. Would've gone with the Shockwave except was able to buy an external speaker, foxjack decoy and more sounds with the money I saved and it works every bit as good if not better in certain situations with the ability to direct sound in 3 directions. I've had it for 3 years...
I can't give a number here. Not much more though. To me, it would not be worth giving up the performance for only a marginal increase in barrel life. I completely agree with you about the appeal of the .264 WM but don't expect much for barrel life unless you load down to 260 Rem velocities and...
THIS
Couldn't have said it any better. You certainly won't be disappointed with the .264 WM. I have the same plans when the LH AXMC is finally in my hands.
How many rounds did you run through the rifle? Did every single one of the Remington's act this same way? Or were there some easier than others? How many different boxes of the Remington's have you cycled? I ask these questions because I have a Remington 700 SPS Varmint 22-250 that does this...
