    Lapua brass POI shift

I would think you could take any commercial brass, win, rem, hornady, nosler, or lapua and load the same load and be within 3/4 moa. Even with different case wall thickness and similar neck tension, especially on the vertical, that relates to velocity not barrel whip so much. I'd sure load up...

thinking of trying a different caliber....but which?

I think you would be very satisfied with any of the 6.5 rounds. They shoot well, have a good barrel life and to me are a step up (in terms of ease of loading, component availability, and recoil management) from the .308. I put almost 4000 rounds on my .260, built a 243 and shot the barrel out...

Rifle Scopes Is the PST 4-16 glass really that bad?

I have had one since they were first released, I think for the money they are fine, nice reticle, glass is pretty good, zero stop, I have no problem recommending one. It's all in what money you have to spend, you can go as cheap or as expensive as you want. But in that price range they are a...

    6MM Remington (.244)

Go on gunbroker, just saw 99 rounds bid is 27.00, and 80 rounds bid is 15.00.

    6MM Remington (.244)

It's out there, no harder to find than .243 or many many other calibers, you just have to do online searches every day and register yourself on several sites to notify you when they come in, I'm sure you can scrounge up a couple hundred in a week or so, keep after it.

6mm Caliber Barrel life and Caliber Choice (6CM/6XC/.243, etc)

I would love to know the same, none of us have had near that much success.

Rifle Scopes Zero Stop Setting Bushy 4-30 XRS

Yes, the brass screw, slotted/phillips you see down dead center in the middle. The 1.5mm wrench in the top they are referring to is the one small hole on the outer ring of the turret inside cap on top, it says you are supposed to insert the long end and push down to take the slop out of the...

6mm Caliber Barrel life and Caliber Choice (6CM/6XC/.243, etc)

Usually if you're wanting to barrel up more than one on the same action your gunsmith can go ahead and cut the chambers, headspace to your action, and then you could change it out assuming you had a barrel vise and action wrench. Some guys are claiming to get close to 2,000 rounds out of a...

Rifle Scopes Zero Stop Setting Bushy 4-30 XRS

I wouldn't shim unless it was a last resort. Take the outer cap off, loosen the two allen screws then turn the brass screw all the way in (clockwise) if you check the scope and bore sight it you will see you have plenty of travel. Lock the set screws down and re zero then follow the set...

UPDATE: Would you shoot in the rain AND 20-30MPH winds @600yds?

Come and shoot a big match with me, I guarantee it will do one or the other or both!! Great if you can practice for an hour than go dry off, you can learn a lot! It's then you realize how much you have to learn, any decent long range guy can lay down and hit a 1k target on a nice day, or at...

Rifle Scopes Zero Stop Setting Bushy 4-30 XRS

You turn it farther than you think, I guess you are making up for the change in adjustment you made to zero it, I bet it was 3/4 turn before the first stop than 1/4 the second. But it is pretty confusing at first, my buddies were laughing at me because I swapped scopes the day before our match...

Rifle Scopes Zero Stop Setting Bushy 4-30 XRS

I have two of the scopes, the first one I sighted in was by the book, the second one I had to follow the resetting instructions, I guess it had locked down before at the factory, it was goofy because I couldn't get the scope adjustments down far enough to get a 100 yard zero, then I realized it...

Flash hole deburring and uniforming... is it the same thing?

I quit uniforming the primer pockets, I felt they loosen up quick enough anyway so I just debur the flash hole on remington and winchester but not the lapua.

    I need a cigar education!

Thanks for this post guys, I quit smoking a pipe 23 years ago when my twins were born and just recently started trying to learn about bourbon and nice cigars. Done a lot of testing, if you know what I mean, and realized I've got to go slow on the cigars. I'm glad my local store rates the cigars...

Rifle Scopes Anyone try one of these Xtreme Hardcore Gear Tru Level bases?

Can't see it unless you take your cheek off the stock and look, then you broke your hold. I use the swing out us optics on the left side, you can take a glance before breaking the shot. And us old guys would need glasses to see that close!

Rifle Scopes Am I going to be dissapointed with a bushnell HDMR?

I don't have any s&b scopes but I do have NF, SWFA SS, Vortex PST brands, I currently have three bushnells, two of them the new 4.5 x 30 XRS scopes. For the money they are great scopes. I'd have no problem recommending them. Unless you have 3500 to spend I'd say you won't be disappointed.
