New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Are you shooting any before mounting the can? cold can/warm mount or vise verse can cause tapers to lock up And not want to release - my TBAC does that.
You may have the mount problem then... once cool it should release without issue. If it’s not that’s a bad sign.
If you mount it and then go to unmount it without shooting is it difficult to remove then or just after shooting?
Is yours made by BP Firearms or KGMade?
They had some issues with those from BP fitting ridiculously tight because parts shrank during heat treating And some made it into the wild.
I have an SRD765QD on my Virtus in 300BLK and it’s fantastic. Pretty much Hollywood quiet with subs. i was actually so impressed with it that I purchased their 556 version. It’s not as good as the 762 but I think most of that is just due to how difficult 556 is to suppress no matter what you do.
Zak,
Might be a stupid question... What's the easiest way to get red loctite out of the threads to reinstall without damaging anything? I have several breaks to install since my stamp came back. I've had very little experience with the evil red stuff :)
I had a pistol can do +6' @ 50y on a Kris Vector without any baffle strikes. Passed alignment rod checks and everything. I ended up having to have SiCo rebuild the can completely and I also had the Vector rethreaded. It's now off +10" @50y which is workable but I still think extreme...
Great news!
Did they actually give you a breakdown of everything they fixed? On mine they included nothing and I ended up having to call... just curious.
Looks like you had an NFA trust setup and instead it did a Single Shot. I’d call them and ask to speak with someone in “compliance”.
I had this happen on mine originally because someone there clicked the wrong box.
I‘m a Glock Armorer and LWD historically has caused more problems than they’ve solved with their knockoff copies of our parts. I would not trust them on anything more than a range toy gun.
You could have gotten essentially the same setup in an MOS-style genuine Glock slide through customer...
I believe he's referring to the fact that you cannot change the caliber (ie open it up). That's against the rules. Just like you can't make one longer, etc.
I had a POI shift that was 6ft+ at 50y with one of my pistol carbines. Ended up both the barrel threading and the suppressor were out of spec. It did however pass an alignment rod test which made the whole situation wonky as hell. Just saying, feet CAN happen....
I just went through this with an Omega 45k. They totally rebuilt and refinished it at no charge. Only thing is it did take about 6 weeks from when they received it.
