    ORIGIN Orders

I ordered one last week. Bighorn immediately responded with a mid September due date, not shabby at all as I expected at least 6 months. I also ordered a shouldered barrel from John at Keystone (very pleasant to deal with) to pair with it. I will pick up a 419 break. It will sit in my KRG Bravo...

PRS Talk Should I just accept that I'll lose most of my brass at a match

With the caveat that I have only shot one PRS match, I can say over that two day match I didn't lose one piece of brass. It is the responsibility of the other shooters in your squad (but for whoever is next) to police your brass. As Dan mentioned above, mark your brass in some way that makes it...

    Hunting & Fishing Fly Anglers?

Before this, I could only fish "artificial" environments, i.e. downstream from a damn for hatchery fish. Fishing wild trout was a blast. These are from the Sierra National Forest on a stream at 9000 feet in the mountains. My boy and I were competing for the smallest catch..he won.

    Using garage space for reloading?

That's a good point on keeping things oiled. It took me a bit to realize after every session to wipe down both dies and my press.

    Using garage space for reloading?

I hand load in a non climate controlled garage with zero issues (other then being hot..or cold). I set up a large oscillating fan close to me and have an electric heater at my feet. I do have to turn off the fan when charging with my Chargemaster, it causes variances in the drops.

    ++Bighorn TL3 Builds++

Yeah, they don't have that option anymore. Looks like they now just have the recoil lug opened up. Curious about the action fit, bolt handle, etc.

Has anyone tried the TL3 in a KRG Bravo? Any fitting issues?

    JWhite is GTG

I enjoyed a very nice trade with JWHITE; great communication, no drama. Trades like this, and forums like SH, are great parts of this hobby.

Anyone done a spartan race or similar?

Yes, it was at Rough Creek. It was the far side of Dallas for me which made the drive back to Tulsa after the race ... uncomfortable. Iamero - I forgot to mention, they have stations to rinse off after the race. I recommend a full set of clothes to change into. The race organizers also...

    Action specs. Remmy 700

Yes - 700 s/a = 700 s/a, it's not caliber specific. However, is .300 wsm a true short action when it comes to magazine size? I would hate to see someone drop the coin on an AX chassis and have to get out a file. Hopefully more educated folks will pipe up on that question.

    Reloading and loading new ammunition

Difficult to answer as there are many variables. A lot depends on the equipment you buy and the accuracy you seek to achieve.. (I just saw someone else posted before I did, guessing it is going to read similarly). However - you asked for a time metric, so that's what I will provide. With some...

Anyone done a spartan race or similar?

I did one outside of Dallas a couple years back. It was a lot of fun and I met a bunch of interesting people. They time it so the "pros" have their heats early so the beer leaguers like myself don't feel like they are getting in the way. You will find yourself bumping into and trying to get...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns 10mm 1911 thoughts & opinions

I noticed some folks mentioned reliability issues. I have owned a Delta Elite for 30 years; iIt was my first firearm. While all factory (I never got into hand loading for pistol) loads, I can't recall it ever jamming. Very accurate, very nice trigger, and a bar for any pistol I bought since then...

    Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

Recently Photobucket went from free image hosting to paid image hosting. If the person making the post originally used them but didn't pay them, all of the pic links were killed. Plenty of free hosting services out there.

    Help with a 700p

The HS system that I believe USPatriot is referencing takes about 5 minutes and a simple file to inlet. So if you like the HS stock, stick with it. The mags are expensive but they are nice. I would say my HS with the HS system is on par to my Manners with their mini-chassis (also very nice) and...

Gunsmithing Replacing bottom metal on a 700 BDL

The PTG as suggested is a great choice. In and done. If you want to do it yourself, and assuming you have the stock HS stock (ha ha), they make one that I like and has served me well for over a year. Two minutes with a file on the inside of the stock (nothing is visible when finished so you...

    Diet Help Please

Answering squidd's direct question - For breakfast, I try to stick with eggs and a breakfast meat (ham, bacon, turkey sausage) mixed with chopped bell pepper, all cooked in a skillet with coconut oil. If I don't have time for that, then I will make a smoothie containing pea protein powder...

    Diet Help Please

As you go through this journey, please remember that while there are some true generalizations "refined sugar is bad for you" that are true for all, everybody is different and when you read articles or talk to trainers most of what you will hear is a sales pitch or what works/worked for someone...
