    Re: New custom Harris feet I would buy them in a second. I have always been happy with the Harris but was going to upgrade to an Atlas just for the spikes (I have issues getting the Harris dug in at my range). I too thought the claws were a bit gaudy.

    Re: Rings and bases, So many choices! Steel vs. aluminum, popular argument. I am sure Badger's are kick ass; however, my Seekins base and rings have been as solid as can be. The rings don't lose tension and the base took to bedding very well.

    Re: Triggers: How light is 1.5oz? I have a Timney set by the factory at 1.5 and it is not quite as light as mentioned above, but you do need to be mindful of that trigger finger. Essentially keep out of the guard until you are on target but no issues with bolt closing setting it off.

    Re: Newb questions sbout a 700 I started with a similar rifle; definitely get an aftermarket trigger. PM me if you have questions on the install, it is simple as can be. I eventually traded out my B&C stock as well, just never found it comfortable.

    Re: Rem 700 trigger adjustments Easy as can be, just a couple of taps with a punch and you are good to go. Timney's come with little spacers to keep all in place as you drift in the pins.
