50bmg ball to hollow point conversion

I've shot Pigs with .50 big in S Oklahoma, and yes it works, and it's not so much "needle" through as the amount of displaced tissue is huge. One smaller boar was hit high, quartering shot, it ripped the spine and half of the lungs out mainly by just splitting tissue This was 660gn ball ammo too

50bmg ball to hollow point conversion

M33 is 660 grain, steel cored. Op stated 650 grain, is that a typo or is it not m33 ball and somewhere manufacturer Either way expansion with M33 is extremely unlikely

Running a scope at the bottom of its travel, Is that bad?

All goodand everyone above is right - no issues. On time it may cause damage is if you dial to the maximum AND leave it there under compression for an extended period (especially in transit). If you dial one way then back repeatedly - all good

    Cutting a hogue stock

About 10 years ago I did something similar, Hogue stock, Predator 8 moderator on a 20" .223 The rubber overlay doesn't help but the plastic underneath cuts and shapes easily, I cut it square with a mitre saw, then rounded it on a belt sander. Closed the end up with car body filler - isopon etc...

    British sniper ammunition

Glad you know for sure. I was really surprised the 250's were made that late, I'm intrigued, but that's still a great - if not more usable - bullet than the 300.

Chasing Gear, the broken record of shooting lighter calibers

Circle of shooting life = circle of caliber. And the next best / last best / current best / latest best .17 - .375 caliber i.e 6mm CM vs .243win vs 6br for example OR . 224val vs .223 / .223ai vs 22-250/ 22 cm / 22NOSLER Or The next set.....there's always overlap, compromise, discussion...
