    I shoot 168 amax's with my 308. Last shoot they were all staying within 9" at 1000. Seems about right without heavy wind factors.

    +1 on relaxing the grip. When I gorilla grip my 1911, I shoot all over hell and back. Relax, focus on squeezing only the trigger and not the grip; that sucker will shoot gorgeous little groups.

    Each bullet will have a slightly different place it contacts the lands in its length. So even though an smk and amax are both 168gn in weight, they will not have identical length where they touch the lands. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    With my Model 10 .308, I am loading to 2.870 COAL to reach the lands. If i jam it slightly or just kiss the lands, it shoots nice little groups. Any jump seems to really piss of my groups, even if its only 0.010. Load em long and develop your load with it touching. BTW, I shoot 168 Amax so...

    We shoot at higher altitudes here in Utah which definitely helps stretch the 168 Amax's out. We were making consistent hits on a 12'x12' plate at 1180 yards with 5-10mph crosswinds. Will they shoot? Heck ya! My last 5 shot group at 1000 yrds were all under 8". Not bad for the old 308. I...

    They are still on Back Order/Not Released, ETA August 2014. I'm curious if anyone has tested one or got one on the down low. The original 4-14 is available now, but not the 4-14 FFP ACSS.

    Absolute co-witness. If the red dot goes down you can use the tube as a ghost sight with your front sight.

    I would send the rifle and 500 rounds of ammo to me for thorough testing. At that point you may or may not get it back, depends on if I can confirm it is safe for you to shoot. Honestly, its been hashed out here, if you are afraid that it fell over you might want to reassess your equipment...
